That said, the vitriol over Bryce is truly reaching unhealthy levels. Like, it’s OK to blame all your life’s problems on him I guess and make retarded Clausen comparisons (Bryce’s last two games were better than any game Clausen had in his career), but I didn’t expect the Huddle even at its worst to straight up pretend the good plays he makes just didn’t happen, and create ones that Dalton didn’t make (lower YPC than Young). 

But when you suck, it’s always the QB’s fault. Was that way with Jake, Cam, even Weinke. 

I would say our offensive play calling being so terrible plus Stroud setting the league on fire has made things 10x worse for Young from a fan's standpoint.  I find myself watching Stroud and shaking my head at what could have been, but does Reich run this same Mickey Mouse offense for Stroud and does he look just as bad as Young if he does.

Yeah, most of the people on here who are less reactionary have since stopped coming back to post. I mean the ones who are wanted Burns to get paid big in Week 1 and get traded for a bag of peanuts in Week 3. Wanted Luvu benched after Week 1 and franchise tagged after Week 2. 

Knowing the incompetence runs deeper than a rookie QB is a very unpopular — if logical — opinion anymore. Stroud under this line and this game plan would be marginally better if at all.

Some of you don't seem to know how bad/controlling/micromanaging Reich is yet. He is really bad. There's a reason Indy players celebrated his firing LESS THAN A YEAR AGO. Tepper is braindead

I think Reichs wheelhouse is calling plays for a guy like CJ, not Bryce. I think Bryce was a Tepper hire. I don’t believe CJ struggles as much as Bryce has, here. He makes decisions and knows where to go with the ball before it’s snapped on a big chunk of plays. He throws with crazy anticipation right now. Bryce is more gun-shy. And that’s probably on the coaching but I believe if Frank had CJ he would be calling plays differently.

      And I have been a big XL guy/fan.  He know doubt was drafted because he fits a role that is in all the Os Canales has been around.  my concern is Bryce, and it’s probably not a talent issue on this aspect.  Just a QB DNA thing.  I really think Canales and XL pair best with a gunslinger/risk taker.   You want to limit gunslinger with the run but then need the QB to go downfield aggressively.   Bryce needs to simply play and be more aggressive downfield.   Which is easier said than done if not wired that way

      Agreed. People who say this are of the same ilk as "WE GOTTA GET RID OF RICHARDSON SO WE CAN GET THE NFL SHIELD OFF THE FIELD." How is that working out now?  Rod can stay as long as he likes and keeps fielding one of the best teams in the NHL. He does need someone on the staff that understands goalies. That has always been a weakness for him.

      Do I want Bryce Young to be a good QB? Yes, the Panthers homer in me is rooting for him to turn it around against all odds and prove all the haters wrong.  Do I think Bryce Young will be a good QB? No. And the odds are he won’t be. I didn’t think he’d translate to the NFL from the moment I watched him against the Texas defense in 2022, a game Alabama only won because Quinn Ewers got knocked out of the game. When he faced pressure he looked like sh*t and that’s the exact same QB we saw in the NFL. He’s too short to step up in the pocket so you have to design a gimmick offense to allow him to improvise plays. He didn’t scream “first overall pick” to me at least.  Meanwhile CJ Stroud played out of his mind in the biggest game of his life against the best defense in college football and the Panthers said nah we’re going to draft the 5’9 guy who couldn’t carve up an average Texas defense.
