Most of the huddle doesn't appreciate Dalton's talent.

Dalton took Cincinnati to thr playoffs how many times in a row?

Red Rocket is real man. Anyone saying it isn't aren't really old enough to remember the teams Dalton played on before. I can't help but think that the teams changed more than Dalton did.

100%

If we played today in the first two games, we'd be sitting at 2-1 right now.  Seattle is one of the best teams in the NFC, that stadium is the toughest place in the league to play, and we did it in the road with a QB who has been taking backup snaps since mini camp.  I'm upset we lost like everyone else, but today was a MASSIVE improvement over the first two weeks.

And look, I don't mean to pile on Bryce, but honestly, Dalton was the difference.  He just looked like an NFL QB out there in the way he played, moved, threw the ball, all of it.  Bryce still looks like a scared little kid out there, and I don't just mean his size.

Seattle has the worst pass defense in the NFL. And that’s before half of their defense was out. Dalton wouldn’t have done that against better defenses. Y’all are just dumb.

Dalton actually showed some grit I was impressed given his age. I honestly thought he would be mediocre at best it's what I've come to expect. But these defend Bryce Young at all costs so let's trash Andy Dalton takes are....desperate. Maybe stop trying to coddle a 22 year old man and raise your expectations.

Good to see the personal insults for different opinions being flung around first thing in the morning!

I don't get it. If Bryce had done anything to justify this angry defense I could begin to rationalize it. But AB is defending this man like he's already prime Cam Newton. Get off his dick already.

Dalton threw for more yards in one game than Bryce has in two. He threw for more yards in both halves than Bryce has in either single game. He threw as many TD passes in one game as Bryce has in two.

Those are facts, not a "narrative".

Against the worst pass defense in the NFL….

And the fact that you’re pushing that around without context is what makes it a narrative. Because it fuels your misguided notions about Bryce. As a “mod” you should be better than this, but this is why the huddle is so trash.

You created an alt bro. You used to be decent. Now you’re just sad.

    • I mean, yes, there is a difference between looking at a box score and watching film.  But PFF has a big subjective aspect to some of their grades.  That's how you get a 2/4 being better than 3/5 with a TD.  You aren't using stats at that point or factual events, but subjective analysis of plays.   And it's not like it is the same subjective analysis applying across all the players.   Same guy grading BY's incompletions (which are putting him over the top) isn't grading everyone else's incompletions and completions.  So it's different subjective takes/viewpoints applied.  There is no way everyone at PFF views grading out a play the same.  Then it all dumps into the same spreadsheet.  Hit the sort button.  Sometimes I feel it gets really weird and and collective data starts saying some weird stuff that just isn't true.
    • Yeah, Sanders had a very nice debut preseason performance but the folks acting like he's arrived based on that performance are getting way out ahead of themselves.
    • I won't be surprised if Graham disappoints. Maybe not outright bust but never lives up to his draft status. The more I watched him at Michigan the more I came away impressed by the other Michigan DT. I think he might be the real player. Usually when you have two high level prospects in the same college unit one of them ends up getting fraud checked in the NFL as being largely carried by the other guy. Peppers and Ryan Sims at UNC comes to mind. Lavar Arrington and Courtney Brown at Penn State, etc.
