We took the wrong QB if we want to be a run based team, I don't think Reich wants to be a run based team either, he wants to air it out.

Bryce's biggest asset is supposed to be his brain and reading defenses, you don't put that type of QB into a run based offense where, they belong in a pass based offense to read where the holes in the defense will be and to pick them apart.

If you want to be a run based team, you don't trade up as high and you draft AR.

Bryce is still a rookie QB.  About to make his 3rd start.  Seattle isn’t a blueprint.  Andy Dalton has played for a billion years and that was the most he had ever attempted in a game.   That’s how you lose.   Especially , when your OL is allowing that type pressure.  Pass that much while allowing that type pressure is a recipe for failure.  Dalton and us got lucky it didn’t go very poorly.  Because that’s what passing that much behind a OL that bad is setting up.

Franks teams have always run the ball.   That’s not saying we should be doing what Wilks did here

I would like to see over 200 passing yards before our final drive, 60%+ completion and (most importantly) 6.0+ YPA.

If he's floating around 4-5.5 YPA, I won't be a happy camper.

Yes this is a key indicator, he also needs to show some deep throws, a deep out or a go route completion or at least a valiant attempt

Minnesota has maybe the worst pass D overall in the NFL.  They dont really get to the QB much, if at all and they are not stopping the ball once its in the air.  This SHOULD be a get right game for Bryce.  I expect him to put up his best numbers of the year...however we still probably get smoked because we're going to struggle to contain their offense.

2021 - Colts #2 rush O

2020 - Colts #11 rush O

2019 - Colts #7 rush O

Frank wants to run the ball.  It's a problem that we can't.  Those thinking the plan vs Seattle is a working plan that will lead to good outcomes? If you ask Dalton to do that again, it's probably a trainwreck more times than not.  We got lucky the Seahawks didn't get better outcomes off the pressure.  Can't ask any QB to throw that much behind this OL.   Especially, any rookie QB.

Also Bryce at Alabama

2022 - Bama averaged 195 rushing yards per game

2021 - Bama averaged 150 rushing yards per game

Asking a QB to pass 52 a game and giving your running backs 12 rush attempts is a recipe for complete disaster.  For any QB behind this OL.  The pressures we give up invite turnovers.  Especially a rookie QB.   Not only do we have a team that has set Bryce up for failure... we got people encouraging gameplans that encourage the rookie to fail.

Its because Miles Sanders SUCKS.  Dude has no vision, no shifitness, no burst.  Nothing.  Id rather see Blackshear tote the rock 20 times a game than Sanders.

Wait a second, so you’re telling me that teams with Jonathan Taylor had good running games?

SHOCKING

    • He was always the guy who didn't care about practice or being prepared. That works when you are a freak athlete and aren't in a position that has to do those things. What made Dion work as an athlete is what makes him a terrible agent. Yeah he has always been a pooshow. His kids probably think it's normal but Shaduer just paid the price big time. Started the video and it's already Dion bonkers lol
    • This is also why in a way, I don't want T-Mac to get to 1,000 yards, because I think it means XL or Coker took a step back. While maybe that would be good for T-Mac's growth, I have absolutely zero, in fact, less than zero concern about T-Mac becoming THAT guy for us and being a Top 10 WR every year with legit Top 5 potential. And even though I have faith that XL and Coker can be that 2/3 combo next to T-Mac in the future, I have far more concern in the two of them getting there than T-Mac being that #1, so their growth is "more important" to me this season than T-Mac's, in that sense. Thielen's presence will suppress the numbers T-Mac/XL/Coker put up, but his presence is what is best for Bryce's growth, which is more important than anything with the WRs this year because we need to know if he's going to be that franchise QB for us. If Bryce already proved himself to be that guy, Thielen isn't even on the team this year and none of this is a debate, then yes, T-Mac would HAVE to put up 1k this season.
    • I've gone back to buying Panthers merch for the first time in a couple of years. Have some optimism for the first time since we drafted Bryce, which quickly met it's downfall.  Don't fug this up, Panthers.
