Panthers actively shopping for a WR

Yep. Meanwhile, look at our franchise history at WR. It has been a constant struggle for us. Once you get past Smitty, Moose, and DJ who would you even put as our #4 WR in franchise history. It just gets sad after those three. Purely by the numbers Mark Carrier would be our #4 WR with 2547 yards. That's right. The 4th leading WR in franchise history produced barely over 2500 receiving yards for us. Meanwhile you have Fitts acting like he can find WRs on the couch.

I think when the dust eventually settles on fitts tenure and what the team looks like once he leaves, its going to resemble something between Hiroshima and Chernobyl

what? haha. DL is one of the hardest units in the league to replace... Trench players are the 2nd most important group outside of the QB.

There is no world where trading Derrick Brown over DJ Moore is a better deal for us.

I would send Burns. The Bears reportedly wanted DJ, Brown, or Burns. I would've tried to make it Burns and reduce the draft pick capital I sent.

This caught my attention in Rapaport’s article too.

So if Chinn isn’t even in the plans post Woods injury to the point that they’re shopping for a Safety.

its clear that Chinn isn’t in the future plans for this franchise and will be on another team next year one way or another.

Why don’t they at-least shop him now for something before he walks away for nothing.

Fitts got rid of top RB in the league and one of the top WRs in the league from our roster over the last year.  He took that draft capital and drafted a QB who now struggles due to bad supporting cast around him.  We could of had CMC, DJ Moore and Richardson on offense right now and still have all our draft picks.

Worse than current? Because it's something along the lines of D-Day currently.

With our holes now, people that are F/A's and lack of cap space and draft capital I dont see this puppy getting fixed any time soon.

I mean for starters we are going to need 3 corners in the offseason.    God knows how many linebackers, more edge help and who the fug knows what happens in the wide receiver room.  Fitt built this roster thinking he could win in 2023 and fug all else going forward.

Fitts is like a blind man looking for his favorite porno movie.  He has no clue wtf he’s doing.  Fitts is now mortgaging the future to save his own ass.  Smells of desperation.  Hurney 2.0 with those Everette Brown like trades.

Funny how most of you changed your tune. I remember saying we needed a #1 WR in the off-season and people were like nah we cool we got Mingo and TMT.

I remember loathing trading away all of our talent just to move up and get a “franchise guy” with the understanding he’d have no support to be successful. I was mocked for it. People love to change their tune.

I hated losing DJ. I just assumed anyone who was pitching this idea that having Chark, AT, Mingo and TMJ for a rookie was better than having DJ was just trying to cope and make it ok in their head because it was a stupid trade to give up your best rookie QB help to draft a rookie QB. If this season was all about a rookie QBs development we should have traded a defender in that deal to the Bears, not a WR.

Agreed. Imagine trading up for your franchise QB then trading his only weapon on offense.smh

They should have traded Burns, now they can't even pay Burns the money he wants. This franchise is ran by some idiots.

    • Mel Kiper said he would retire if Jimmy Clausen wasn't a successful NFL starter too. Just because the experts make a claim doesnt mean it's true either.  Bryce may be a serviceable QB for someone. Serviceable QBs don't bring you a perennial winner or lead you to the playoffs over and over. Serviceable QBs also dont get 50m plus per year deals which is what a Bryce extension would look like.  The stats show he hasn't been even a serviceable QB in the 3 years he's been here. The eye test shows he hasn't put together 2 franchise QB salary games back to back in 3 years.  Complain all you want about people being negative, but people pointing out that Bryce is held to a different standard than anyone else on the team isn't complaining. It's stating the obvious.
    • We have big bodied WRs and 3 TEs who all have potential and each bring something different to the table. I never saw the need to go out there and try and find a new starting TE.  While it's nice to have a guy like McBride, Bowers, etc, I think a team's better use of the cap is by having TEs on rookie contracts or cheap vets, not having to pay elite TE money.
    • He had the award until like the last 8 games. He sucked ass and flagg had 3 40 point games
