Ikem Ekwonu's future on this team

he’s gonna have to move inside, sucks they could’ve had Charles cross but that’s what you get when you take players from North Carolina

if Christensen hadn’t spent the off-season rehabbing he may not have fallen apart in the first game and could’ve been an option worth exploring now

If only Rashawn Slaters arms weren't so short

Not really a big deal, they took an all pro caliber player that couldn’t stay healthy

it was their desperation to take a local kid instead of the better player in Ekwonu’s class that fitterer should be maimed for

No, he is definitely Rhule's guy. Someone pointed that out at the time.

Not really. Mr. Scot and others won’t admit it but there were a ton of posts that off-season saying that Fitterer had taken control of the off-season because Rhule was on the hot seat. Tepper and Fitterer made Rhule hire vet coaches and he got fired 5 weeks in. From all the talk, that was Fitt’s draft.

Maybe the draft was but not that pick. Did you not see the video in the Panthers' War Room of Rhule when the pick was made?

Not sure I remember a more significant sophomore slump. Wtf happened to this guy?

I can, and Ironically it was a guy who played for the Vikings and then the panthers...the infamous Matt Kalil.  All rookie and pro bowl rookie season, then absolute trash for the rest of his career.

Those posts were wrong.

His brother’s legend has helped me forget

Why? You think Rhule was forced to hire vet OC/DCs being on the hot seat and fired 5 weeks in but there’s no way Fitterer had control of the draft? Lots of credit was given to Fitt for the OL rebuild.

All you had to do was watch the draft to know who was in control. Not only was it stated I don't know how many times that Rhule was the man in charge, but all you had to do was watch body language.

It hardly matters though, because things aren't necessarily making Fitt smell like roses currently either.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
