At this point I am inclined to side with you on this and think that Frank has been a detriment to Bryce.  I think they have scripted crap for him to a point that it is hindering his ability to perform and that scripting often goes awry.   He definitely has some things to work on and there are many questions/concerns but it seems like we are watching the same game every week.  Get down to or near the red zone.  Team has momentum on the back of a good play.  There is confusion, play clock goes down to 2 seconds and burn a time out.  That seems to be a regular theme.  They pulled Bryce on 4th and 1 and let Dalton do the sneak yesterday.  Got the first down and I think the very next play he was in on there was some last second crap again where they were late getting lined up. That stuff needs to be a lot more crisp and until it is the game will not flow for him.

Reich sucks but you fire him and Young has to start all over with a new coach and new offense.  Thats not doing him any favors.  I think Tepper leans into stability instead of rash decision

I said that in the game thread but all these reps are important and its no such thing as garbage time for young players. The Lions were giving up yards but they were 100 percent trying to stop the Panthers from scoring.

Right on!!! 👏

I would be very surprised at a mid season firing but one would hope that Reich loosens up things for BY.  I am not totally out on BY at this point but there are huge red flags.  Some can be cleaned up (homer hope?) but right now the coaching staff seems to be magnifying them rather than masking.

One of the biggest problems is that Young simply isn’t a good enough athlete to be able to create at the NFL level. So until his brain gets up to NFL speed it’s going to be pretty tough

Even if his brain does get up to NFL speed I’m not exactly sure what that makes Young. I keep thinking Jimmy G. Hesitant to throw downfield. Probably misses a few games every year. Dependant on the guys around him

We spend all of these resources to trade up to number one, we spend all of this money on coaches that are pure specialists- old and new. There’s no reason the teams effort should he this poor. A junk team like Arizona tries hard every game, Houston seems to have a stable foundation and they’ve made Stroud comfortable with less options. Every single time Laviska touches the ball, something great happens, but let’s continue to use him 2-3 times a game only. Yeah obviously Bryce hasn’t looked great, but I don’t know many rookies who’d come into this nervous , nonchalant mess, and be successful. There’s no reason to hold onto Reich any longer. The team isn’t going to magically buy into his soft methods of coaching and we need a sideline guy who looks like he gives a damn.

The entire team is watching as we start an obviously inferior RB and QB. That’s hard on morale. Play the players that give us the best chance win or have the locker room implode… it’s about to get worse.

When the 13-year veteran put up big numbers in the fourth quarter of a blowout, it made him a quality starter

When a rookie does it in his fourth game, it somehow doesn’t mean anything. Lol

Just to be clear here…he had 267 yards through three quarters.

Bryce still hasn’t reached that in any game he’s played in. That’s removing the fourth quarter of Daltons game.

Most of the players on this team are inferior.  Burns may or may not get 1 sack a game and it not a difference making play. Horn has the potential to be good but he can't stay healthy.  Luvu and Thielin are playing the best out everyone. Andy Dalton is the better QB but I think Bryce will get through these tough times and with better coaching or play calling he will get better. Trevor Lawrence look like trash year 1 but with the right coach he became who we thought he was.

Lawrence is very physically gifted though so not a good comparison. You got an example of a sub 6' 190 lb qb that looked terrible then turned it around and went on to be great?

Lawrence was in an actual toxic situation with Meyer. Coach clearly bailed on the team in Ohio. This isn’t the same.

Fields is tied for second in the NFL in passing touchdowns. If he’s breaking out it would have been after his coach and GM were fired in his first season.

Jalen Hurts I believe also saw his coach get fired early on in his career but his third year boom was the second year of the system he was in. Fields is doing it in year 2 of the system he is currently in.

It’s possible to get better after the first coach is fired but what coach is coming to Carolina if Reich is fired one year after Rhule is fired? It looks like a clear stay away from this dumpster fire organization because you’ll be fired quick. And a QB needs consistency.

No new coach is tying his wagon and career to young.  No new coach is going to come knowing tepper will fire you at the drop of a hat and bryce young is your life line to success.  I suspect fitt and reich get next year regardless and if it doesnt get better its house cleaning time

But I will say again, IMO, 4 wins or less should be grounds for dismissal all things considered, it wont happen but should.  After all that big fuging talk if all you can show is 3ish wins then its time to pull the plug

4 completions of 15+ air yards…

progress…I guess

4 of 9 for a TD and pick in the 10-20 yard range.  You guys say it's Frank play calling, but Frank isn't the one who is lukewarm completing passes beyond 10 yards.
