Official Texans at Panthers GameDay Thread

Panthers get the W

We get Corbett back, our run game improves, allowing for play action to jettison Young into career highs-including his first connect on a deep go route.

The Panthers install their own version of the push tush with Cade Mays taking the snap.

Situational play calling is vastly improved with Brown, and the Texans are left confused and in utter disbelief.

I think I've introduced myself a few times but I'm a native Texans now living in North Carolina. Headed to the game with my fam on Sunday! Despite the records I think we are pretty evenly matched. Bryce should definitely be able to pass on our Defense as they are more a "bend but don't break" defense. They aren't going to overwhelm anyone.

Live in NC for a few years now and this will only be the second time we've been to Charlotte. Any good spots to eat at around the stadium? And win or lose I'm not here to talk mess. Texans are my team but I enjoy cheering the panthers on when we aren't playing each other.

Corbett coming back will be big in time.  I think people should temper the difference out of the gate.

Dude has been on the shelf for a long time.  He just started practicing 3 weeks ago.  Anyone seen Cohen take a legit snap yet?   It takes time to get in every down car wreck NFL shape.  And probably no spot on the field takes the every snap punishment an offensive lineman does.  It likely is going to take Corbett some time to be the guy we last saw on the field.

@mrcompletely11 was saying something similar and it makes sense. Corbett will likely have some rust and take several weeks to get back in sync with his OL.

I agree on the bend but not break defense as Bryce will show our fans that Tepper made the right choice.

And on where to eat, here are 4 choices assuming you missed the Texans smoked BBQ and hope for something close to it.

Go Panthers!

My main thought in my mind going into Sunday is Frank Reich is in a lose lose situation.

1. The offense does well and we win under better play-calling. Bryce outplays C.J. Stroud He looks like an idiot because we would be 1-6 and his poor play-calling and clock management would be a large reason why.

2. Nothing changes and we are 0-7 with no 1st round pick.

    • This seemed to be what the Teppers wanted, as Stroud hit the ground running and the Texans became his team almost day one. I hope Bryce's play starts to speak for itself if he isn't very vocal, because it does make a difference. I mean, Cam had to jack up Josh Norman who was a fifth round pick in the coach's doghouse in year five! I wonder what Bryce would do in a situation like that. Thank goodness there was no Steve Smith here when he was drafted!
