There was a bidding war. We know for a fact the Panthers, Texans, and Raiders were all trying to get to 1 to draft Young.

I mean no one matched our offer which wasn’t a huge amount for a top QB pick. For example if the top pick is available this year (with Caleb or Maye) or when Lawrence was in the draft you would see a lot more action and a lot more compensation.

and if there was an Andrew Luck at the top of this draft, I don't think the Bears would have traded it to begin with.  Top of this draft was more comparable to the guys outside of Lawerence the year they got Fields.

Without a doubt.  They would have traded Fields for picks and drafted the Luck/Lawrence QB.

Just because a reporter says that, doesn't mean it's true.

If we had a lame duck coach, I could see Tepper trying to force the issue, but not after he just hired Reich and let him build the "all star staff" that he put together, particularly with all the "QB gurus" that were hired.

If they all came to him and said, look, it can't be Bryce and has to be Stroud for all these reasons and we all fully believe that, he wouldn't have forced them to take Bryce, he's not stupid.

I'm not saying it's not possible that he put his finger on the scale, but this isn't Dallas or the Snyder era Redskins where the owner is also GM or is open about pushing decisions.  It's all speculation by fans that I'm guessing is much further from the truth than it is close to it.

Nicole Tepper had to complete a class so she could be involved in the hiring process of our new coach. What experience in or around football does she have to even be remotely involved in that decision?

Again, Nicole is on the phone making the trade of picks used to draft DJ Johnson. Why? Just so she can say she got to be part of draft day?

Matt Rhule - great interview, almost zero experience - hired

Frank Reich - great interview, just got fired from a HC job - hired

Shane Steichen - SB OC transformed 2 QBs and an offense, bad zoom interview - not interested

Bryce Young - Dazzled Dave at dinner by dissecting a play - picked number 1

Notice a trend?

Dave has openly said he makes his opinion and his influence well known throughout the building. You seriously believe that has absolutely zero to do with what's going on? Dave is meddling. To what degree, we don't know. But he's involved. Putting your finger on the scale is meddling. Pushing your unqualified opinion is meddling. Getting your wife who had to take a class just to be involved in the interview process is meddling.

1.  It was reported Tepper wanted a 3-4 defense and 'suggested' that Rivera run this during his last year.

2. It was reported Tepper was very involved in the Stafford trade talks and ultimately made the decision to not pursue due to a medical concern

3.  It was reported Tepper was very involved in the Watson trade talks and ultimately was the one who pulled away due to the money/contract concerns

4.  Tepper and wife attending the combine with the QB's and was involved in this process

5.  Reich said Tepper was a very involved owner and met with him often/weekly.

6.  It was reported many times that Tepper was pushing for a 'franchise QB' (as if his football did not think this was needed and they needed to be pushed?).

However, the biggest evidence we have are the results.  Since 2018 this team has looked terrible and has the worst record in the NFL.  This cannot be a coincidence.

Its 100% true and he's involved on every single decision and every player signing and draft pick and has been since day 1.

His wife also has say in decisions as well.

There's like 6 voices in the decision making process for football decisions.  Tepper. His wife, Reich, fitt, Morgan are at that table.

There's plenty of smoke and plenty of times he's actually talked about it openly that he is a factor in the team process.

It was reported that Geraldo Rivera was going to reveal Al Capone's secret stash of money and maybe bodies on TV

It was reported that Todd Marinovich was going to redefine how QBs were made

It was reported that JFK was schtuping Marilyn Monroe

Lots of things get reported by people trying to sell papers/ads/clicks.  Doesnt make any of it true and in the world of re-twits and "first over facts" thats even more so.

Ive yet to hear on the record from anyone with verified access to the processes that Tepper is meddling.

No journalist is going to reveal their source inside an organization that's spilling dirt on ownership. They won't be a source any more because they won't have a job.

Then there is simply no helping you when the mountain of evidence is being presented.

Tepper in his own words said he would be involved in the big decisions.   To back that up, all the reporting on him consistently backs that.  You can use whatever words you want to describe that
