The Texans Team as a Whole

"Every receiver is exceeding expectations."

Of course it helps when your rookie quarterback is a cyborg, but the Texans’ receivers are giving major bang for the buck of late — and there isn’t a single one you’d consider a Top 10 guy in a neutral situation. Third-round rookie Nathaniel “Tank” Dell is the most explosive receiver on the list, catching six passes of 20 or more air yards on 12 targets for 213 yards and three touchdowns. When you have a receiver who can just scorch defenses with speed like this… well, you get why Stroud loves this guy downfield. Carlton Davis of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is probably still recovering from the filthy stutter move Dell put on him on this 29-yard Week 9 touchdown. Dell is more than just a straight-line speed target.

Tight end Dalton Schultz, another former Cowboys target who signed a one-year, $6.25 million contract with the Texans this offseason, has become another force in the Texans’ passing game. Schultz is an expert at presenting a favorable target to his quarterback, as he did on this 31-yard catch against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. This was a two-man route concept with Xavier Hutchinson running the vertical seam route on the left side, and Schultz clearing New Orleans’ deep Quarters coverage from the right.

And then, there’s receiver Nico Collins, who’s especially good at finding voids in zones, and making contested catches when a defender is matching him anywhere on the field.

It's a good demonstrator of how drastic our situations are. They could not be more night and day.

It's a clear as day their roster/staff was much more equipped to plug in a rookie QB than ours was/is.  To top if off we drafted one that requires us to completely chance our scheme which makes it even less ideal.

could have signed dalton Schultz over hurst. Hurst's cap for next season is 10 mil to make 2 catches per game

If Davis Mills was under center for this same Texans team they’d be lucky to have 2 wins.

Good QB play makes everything around them look better. Bad QB play makes everything look worse.

Stroud had 3 turnovers last game and they still won against a tough Bengals team.  That's typically a sign of a solid roster.  Stroud is no doubt making them better because he is playing out of his mind, but the point of the article is to also compliment the staff for putting this team together so quickly.  Ours made our roster worse than when Rhule was here...

    • Not totally inaccurate, haha Except that kid wasn't as excited as I was.  I was yelling louder, and more, and running around the room in circles until I almost passed out from exhausting and was trying to catch my breath for a good 10 minutes because I'm way too old to be doing that, LOLOL Oh, and I tweaked a muscle in my shoulder from all the punching the air I was doing too. For as awesome as that pick was for me, it really screwed me up for a few days between my shoulder and lost voice (Wrexham securing back-to-back-to-back promotions Saturday afternoon contributed to that though too).
    • Getting Pierce jr isn’t forfeiting the pick they just had 2 1sts this year.
    • Full disclosure and the real reason.... I'll be seeing my Nephew in basically one month from today, and while I've gotten him stuff from my other teams the past year, I hadn't been willing to saddle him with Panthers stuff yet, that's now changed lol. So if the jersey would get to me before I see him, I'd get that and him his first Panthers onesie/shirt so I can get a picture of us together in them. If it wouldn't get to me by then, I'd just wait to get the one I prefer.  So yea, my rush is really just about trying to get a picture of myself in it with my Nephew in Panthers gear too.
