Bryce vs Cowboys All 22

Not one thing on the entire team has shown even the smallest bit of improvement since the first preseason game. It’s literally the EXACT SAME ISSUES. The players look completely lost and unprepared every day. It doesn’t even look like they practice.

Offense: Watch film, lean on what you do less terrible. Do that. Hopefully it’s more than just 3 or 4 plays. Practice that and only that. Things that get first downs are a good start. Show some, just some improvement for God’s sake.

Defense: just learn how to tackle, and hit guys twice as hard as you think you need to.

I think this team is either telepracticed or home schooled.

Just a reminder for everyone trying to grasp at straws, make excuses, and find a play here and there through none games to cling to... this is what you're hoping to see from #1 overall picks.

Cam's first game highlights:

Cam had more highlights in his first game than Bryce has in nine. Hell, he had more by halftime. Bryce isn't gonna be anything like that. Now we're hoping he can just become a competent game manager and maybe not throw pick sixes on simple crossing routes.

Ugh. It's so bad. The OL is terrible. The receivers just look sooooooo slow. When guys are schemed open Bryce is missing the read more often than not. It's a poo show all the way around.

Our offensive line was Top 10 last year. What is terrible is our offensive scheme. We were good last year once the adjustment period under Wilks was over and guys bought in.

Our play was so good in fact, that Tepper went the complete opposite direction and pushed for a shotgun only QB with a failed offensive minded head coach.

TEPPER THE TERRIBLE (for all the wrong reasons).

Completely different QBs and completely different situations.  No I don't think Young can or will become a Cam Newton but at this point we are stuck with him probably through 2024.  Let's hope we get get adequate talent and an adequate staff to give him a chance, but if we don't or if he continues to struggle we start all over in 2025.

If you polled Panthers fans going into the season we would've all said Bryce was going into a better situation. Everyone had Bryce tabbed as their ROY because he was going into the best situation of the rookie QBs. The one game Dalton played looked like what we expected Bryce to look like.

I've ran out of hope to cling to. The boy's a bust.

I don't know what they do at "practice" every week.

If Bryce was a playmaker, he would have made one by now. And by that, I mean a play only a few other QBs could pull off.

It’s so depressing to know that THE MOST OBVIOUS draft pick we’ve had since Cam, was passed over for the guy who does nothing well and many things poorly.

Every game feels like the turd that just won’t flush. So hideously frustrating.

Keep correcting yourself when your assessments are incorrect.

Yeah, it's the internet. I forgot that one always has to stick to their original opinion and never ever no matter what adjust it. 😂

That's why y'all are still on that Bryce wagon. Ignoring reality to stick with a prior conclusion.

I really don't care what was projected it was all speculation.  The situation is no where close to the same. Gross, Wharton, Kalil, Steve Smith, Greg Olsen, Jeremy Shockey, Williams is on a different level that what we have going on.  Hype before the season means nothing if our staff/players can't deliver.  Reich has neutered the best thing about our offense in the OL and turned them into a weakness.  It's all a complete mess.

We've already discussed the Dalton thing which shows it's an outlier unless you believe he will have a GOAT type season for us, or maybe Seattle had some secondary issues which is why we threw it 58 times in that loss.

He could be a bust, but expecting a rookie to pop in here and have a Cam Newton type season with Reich and this roster is a pipe dream and going to leave you disappointed.  We need a new GM and HC (honestly a new owner but that's a different story), if Young busts and that leads to Fitt and Reich leaving then there is something good that comes out of it.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
