I think I would be fine with this, it’s similar to the Shannan / Lynch set up

I'd have to go back and look at his background to know who might fit that bill.

There's not really anybody in the current Lions front office that I'd find all that interesting.

Yes Harbaugh had brief success in the NFL. He also inherited a solid roster and only coached for what 4-5 years? He wins everywhere he goes so he should be good, but I still prefer the GM/HC balance.

Yeah I think best case scenario out of a Harbaugh HC stint here would be a reset of the culture, and a return to knowing what it’s like to win before handing it off to a long term HC. Who knows how it’d actually go tho

Also, just to go along with the topic... It is widely believe there is "Mutual Interest" between Panthers Organization and Kellen Moore.... Take it with a grain of salt because I don't know how legit this source is but I am telling you, don't be surprised if Moore winds up being the next coach.

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
