I Miss Sam Darnold

Letting go of Sam was the right play. You just have to hit in the draft with the QB pick. We did not, but the play to move up to 1 was not terrible. You had a generational QB there

The play to move up was 100% correct, but Tepper double downed on 21, just to show everyone that analytics said it was the right play.

With all his MANY weaknesses, he did not have a noodle arm, his footwork was better than Bryce, and we could actually win games if we went run heavy and schemed to hide his limitations.  Winning football games; does anyone remember what that was like just 12 months ago?

Come back, Sam.  All’s forgiven.

I don't want that  back

No other QB sees ghost but pass to them. It's about passing to playmakers, not to ghostbusters. And having a cannon like arm to pasa to them doesn't change that fact!

Y’all all got what you wanted. Now you can live with it.

Nah.

The move to go up to #1 was not wrong. Picking Bryce was, as well as going with Frank. Picking Bryce was the worst move we could’ve made. There was a generational QB there, and 2 other QBs who’d had us in a much better spot.

Bryce Young will never be as good as Sam Darnold.

That's not a compliment for Darnold.

Obviously you are a hater by making such an outrageous comment. If you don't like my Bryce, fine but don't you EVER make false absolute comments like that again if you know anything about winning. If our GM didn't trade away our ONLY playmaker with breakaway speed, we would be winning games now or did you missed how DJ laterally won that game for da Bears last week on their last drive when they were down. It was a sight to behold!

Don't take it personally, Bryce.

WRONG!!!! Bryce was the RIGHT choice but trading our ONLY playmaker plus 2 1st round picks to move up in the draft to draft anyone was wrong which i mentioned when the trade went down. So the sooner you realized this, the better off you be to understanding right from wrong instead of hate.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
