Teppers chance for redemption

Some guys just don't get it. Daniel Snyder didn't for over 2 decades. Tepper won't either.

Many thought Haslam would never get it in Cleveland. After a seven year stretch that rivals the Panthers since Tepper took over, Haslam seems to have things figured out. Haslam’s venture with the Columbus Crew has also paid off with two MLS Cups.

For as bad as Haslam’s sports ownership started (and it was bad), he has seemingly turned it around. I hope the same for Tepper.

Haslam wasn’t trading away future firsts. Haslam’s key was picking top-5 for almost a decade. Tepper’s impatience will have him handing away top-5 picks every year.

Stefanski is the 7th head coach since Haslam bought the Browns. Everyone said the Browns were in a state of complete dysfunction. This board even says that (“We are the new Browns.”)

Haslam seems to have found the right coach, and the Browns now have a decent roster. That’s a sign of Haslam’s growth, and I’m hoping for the same with Tepper.

They started drafting much better after the Manziel era including 2017 where they got Garrett and David Njoku in the same draft. Fitterer has spent years wasting top round picks on useless players which has set the franchise back to where it is now. Hurney got poo on but the team never fell to levels like this largely because he always hit on his first rounders and they became foundational pieces of the team.

It’s no coincidence that our best player on the roster was his last first round pick. Meanwhile Fitterer brought us a guy who cant stay on the field, a left tackle as bad as Byron Bell, and an undersized QB who just completed a season where we saw next to nothing to give anyone hope for the future.

Fix the front office and we can be a lot better or at least able to be competitive.

Some of the better teams tend to use analytics the most. I don't think analytics are the problem in Carolina. Poor talent is.

I remember when people were livid Rivera and co were not analytically driven.

I don't understand why people think adding another middle man to the front office solves anything. Tepper can't hire a good GM or HC to save his life but somehow is going to find the right person to give the keys to? What happens if they're another bad hire? Should he intervene or stay out of it and let the "professionals" work?"

Like he may fade out of the public eye for a bit but there's no way around the fact that he's making the calls in the end, I'm sorry guys. Just gotta hope he's learning from his mistakes.

They've had 4 top 5 picks since he owned the team 2 were the year Mayfield was taken. Garrett and Ward  the only ones left. Mayfield and Richardson long gone.

Stop it.

If a owner has shown you who is believe him! Y'all keep hoping this dude will change when he has shown you he doesn't care. It's either his way or the highway. The guy won't even go after Jim Harbaugh. He doesn't want to give up his control over the team. He and his wife have to be involved in football decisions. These people are going to practice and actually acting like they are coaches. Just flat out pathetic.

We have the worst owner in the NFL embrace it!
