I am not sure what moves the Panthers are going to make to improve the team but keeping Evero on as DC should be one of their plans

I would like to see them keep Evero to help Canales focus on everything else he has to take on. Having EE to continue building and improving an already steady defense, is huge.

However, if EE doesn't want to be here and Canales/Morgan/Panthers brass are highly confident Evero will be hired next coaching cycle, I see the upside in cutting ties now. Rip the band-aid off from the previous regime and start fresh.

Leslie Frazier and Marquand Manuel, Joe Cullen are all available to step in, with Frazier providing a more vet/experienced mind to support a younger HC.

I'm not sure continuity on defense is a good thing. From my perspective Evero and his team should be released.  Better yet try to trade Evero for a pick. But keeping him on when he was passed over for the HC job is asking for trouble. He would not intentionally cause trouble but there will be a division among players for sure.

Feels a lot different than the Wilks situation.  #1 he wasn't the interim HC.   #2 There aren't players out there campaigning for Evero as HC like there was for Wilks.

    • I'd rather get a vet to fill XL's spot for a chain mover and give Jimmy Horn more reps since he's basically our Ted Ginn speed guy. T-Mac and Coker are locked in as the top 2. They honestly fuged up giving XL the start over Moore in the playoff game
    • I have been looking for a dropped pass list and all that comes up is QBs. And team stats. When I do receivers I get the passing stats for a handful that threw passes this year.    I wanted to be accurate but anyhow I was looking because thought I remembered reading where T Mac had more drops than XL this year.  One of you many smarter than me people here,I would appreciate it if you know how to pull that up, please do. Thank you.    And yeah I know that isn’t all there is to it I just thought it was interesting.  Of course what the hell is a drop lol.
    • I agree with this and I think it's worth mentioning too that Bryce is not consistent on his placement and especially velocity and that in large part is driven by his footwork. We all know XL doesn't have the best hands and I don't know that he can overcome that. Cam always had the heater that just hit your hands and sank into your grip, where Bryce has some that are harder thrown, some soft. Bryce stepping into a pass looks so much different than that hop throw thing he does. I think XL really needs to hit the jugs machine and start learning how to catch all these different touch passes. TMac and Coker don't have these issues. If XL doesn't get some work in he's going to be out of the league in the next couple of years.
