Good FA so far minus Burns trade

You don’t pay 30 million a year to the dude who wants to be paid on previous years production, who then mails it in when he doesn’t get what he wants.

You pay 30 million a year for a game wrecker; the dude who shows up when the moment demands it. You pay 30 million a year to the guy who break NFL records.

To be people still sniffing Burns’ jock (Sheena included)…I don’t know what y'all have been watching for 4 years, but Burns was never that. And never will be.

I like Burns, think he has the skills to be elite, but it was time to go. He wanted out and we used the money wisely. Mile Sanders may still have something, he was a very good back for the Eagles and unless he fell off the face of the earth, hopefully being healthy and having a competent coaching staff will up his production and him and Hubbard can man the RB spots without spending draft capital.

Morgan said he wants "dawgs" on this team. Burns was a "dawg", but not in a good way. Good riddance. If he didn't want to give 100% on the field, then be gone.

Again. There is no way to be a bad "dawg." Using "dawg" negatively has gotta stop. If you must call him something, call him a dog, but not a "dawg."uga-biting-auburn-player-icegif.gif.f54a430c73be25954f06261a517f3251.gif

Honestly this is the easy part overall. Changing our trajectory with our ability to identify and draft good to very good talent is all I'm looking for right now. Given our new salary cap outlook it's even more crucial now. No pressure Dan.

Burns freed up money to sign these players.

Exactly.  You have to take into account who we signed with that extra money as part of this trade.  If we add three or four good players from the money we saved those assets should be considered part of the trade.
