While most are hoping to strike gold in the 2nd (which we did one time 25 years ago) houston now went from the worst in the league to the best. It all starts with tepper. They made a move happen and we still trotting out practice squad for Bryce, who wasnt the right pick. Chicago will be poised. Most teams in our position end up better, but not this franchise. What a joke.

I guess that we have to have one of these ever so often. 

We had the wrong guys and made questionable moves. We missed out on Stroud, yada yada yada.

We've made some decent acquisitions this offseason. Based upon what Tepper has done lately, who he has put in place, and what has transpires this far since Morgan has been put in charge, I am mildly encouraged. But, things have to be allowed to play out because teams aren't built in one off-season. 

I will say that I'm not looking backwards, only forwards.

Did you want Diggs at this stage in his career at his salary? He makes sense in Houston as he won’t be their top guy, but if we had Dionte and Diggs that’s a recipe for disaster. Plus we have not enough cap room let this year to take on his contract.

      That's going to account for about a baker's dozen nationwide. He isn't bringing Taylor Swift numbers nor, sadly, are those shows bringing many female viewers in general. Substantially less than regular games will. I am not pining for any sort of publicity that isn't from the field, good or bad. Tepper has definitely cured me of any of those notions.

      I think we are very far away from that, unfortunately. I also think our roster is far worse than most realize. It's largely unproven or underperforming young players or veteran journeymen. Our core is the smallest it has been in probably 15 or more years. The truth is, our talent pool has been shrinking rapidly since Ron left. This is the result of Gettleman's poor drafting in his latter years, Hurney's poor overall drafting and then the absolutely disasterous Rhule/Fitterer era. All the while, the deep talent pool we had was either retiring or leaving.  I mean, what drafted talent do we have that would even start on a third of the NFL teams? Just basically Brown and Moton. Horn really doesn't count because, well....he is never healthy enough to start anyway.  That's fuging terrible. If not the worst in the NFL, very close to it.
