Three Teams Catching LeFevour

The only concern on my part about LeFevour is that the offense he ran in college was more of a spread offense similar to what most colleges run now-a-days where he doesn't really spend a lot of time under center so coming here, he'll have to adapt to our style of offense.

However, at the Senior Bowl, he did show some promise operating under center so we'll see, if he becomes a Panther.

Dan LeFevour Central Michigan 6'3" 238 lb 4.84 40

He was ranked as the 88th player in the top 100 by Lindys Pro Football Draft.

The former RB needs to improve throwing on the run and leading WR's on crossing patterns.

He has the pro Qb size but his average arm strength and lack of experience in a pro-style offense will probably drop him down to the late 3rd or 4th rd.

With all the other holes to fill,i'm not sure the Panthers should take him even if he is available in the 4th rd.

If the Panthers can get QB/WR Armanti Edwards-5'11" 185 lb 4.41 40 with one of their 6th rd choices,i feel it would be a better value.

Next year there should be a better selection of QB's available and if there is a pressing need to obtain one ,the Panthers should have a #1 draft choice to use on the position.

Our #1 next year is getting traded you need to make peace with it now, it will be less painful on the big day.

I think he is worthy of a round 4 pick. He was as good as The Golden Calf of Bristol without all the accolades. I believe his overall career TD numbers are better than The Golden Calf of Bristol.

Short and intermediate throws ok with "Needing Help" on the long ball. But with NFL QB size. I would take a chance at #4. We know he would at best be #2 probably #3. So he would have to for adapting with a QB coach.

Go Panthers

He will probably get taken in the second round no later than the third. He is a developmental guy and has lots of athleticism. I suspect his deficiencies can be worked on and overcome.

I doubt we draft him though, we always seem to pick guys we never work out or show much interest in.

I promise he will not be taken in the 2nd round.. no draft site has him projected that high. McCoy and The Golden Calf of Bristol are 2nd round picks..

Earliest he goes is 3rd round.. but could slip to the 4th. I would absolutely LOVE him in the 4th round. But I think he goes late 3rd round.

You can't count on mock drafts to decide where people go in the draft once you get out of the first round. If there is run on quarterbacks he will go early. If there isn't a run then he could go later. He is ranked 6th among quarterbacks. THis draft report says the high would be 2nd round- low would be 3rd-4th.

Here is another one that projects him to be a second rounder.
