Does anyone actually think Bryce will actually be good?

Best case scenario is this was a large part of the problem and he is a new and improved version of himself.

The other side to this is he got significantly worse after Reich was canned.

Also just because we've lived it after trading for him. We have to acknowledge the same oft used defense of Sam Darnold. Which was.....*drum roll*.... Mentioning Adam Gase as many times as possible until everyone believed he was the ultimate boogeyman.

We love boogeymen here too.   It’s just Joe Brady!! It’s all him! Meanwhile Rhule was a cartoon clown.  Then it was all Rhule.  Fitterer is actually great! Matt was in complete control!  Now it was all Frank.

Mills was released from the Browns after his first preseason.  Then he went to Canada and was released before the season began there.  He became a photography teacher before his next chance in CFL

Solid point that will probably get ignored or fall on deaf hears to those that need to hear it…

What does a linebacker have to do with a QB other than trying to draw parallels for feels?

Folks spent weeks comparing this kid to hall of famers before the draft but somehow it still just isn't clicking.

How about just let him prove anything at this level and go from there.

It’s just a simple lesson that sometimes players take a minute to develop. It’s not always the case but it just feeds into the wait and see approach. Also one poster said Mills flashed instantly when that was clearly not the case.

Honestly at this point it's getting disrespectful.

Mills played for a small Division 3 school went undrafted and it took him years to get anyone to believe in him in the NFL.

Bryce Young had some of the best coaching available since high school and played for a modern college football dynasty and one of the best college coaches ever on top of getting every excuse imaginable afforded to him even when he refused to participate at the combine and some of his peers in the same draft had their character attacked on a daily basis. Through all that he still went #1.

Stop the disrespect.

Settle down. People use extreme cases to show points. The point is Mills didn’t flash right away and turned out to be a hell of a player. No one is saying they are the same player. Also the person who said Sam flashed right away to show their point a good player will flash potential right away was incorrect in that case. That is all. Everything doesn’t have to be so absolute.

Bryce Young is not even in same universe with those named Mills and Smitty.  Mills and Smitty showed promise from the start and had hearts of lions. Pillows is soft spoken and quiet.  Bryce yells with his hands over his mouth because he doesn’t want to be too loud.

I will say this about Bryce, I have never questioned his game or passion for the game. This man, at 5'9 180 had refrigerator sized humans slam into him constantly  for an entire season and not only did he never complain, he appears to have hit the gym and gotten BETTER instead of letting what was a disastrous rookie season destroy his mental. I would have taken by 10 million dollars and quit Andrew Luck type beat.

Most nfl ready since luck.   Cerebral.   Point guard.  Elevates all around him.  Mini mahomes.

Damn the narrative has changed in a year.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
