That would explain the no throws at the combine. That was a bigger red flag than the vanilla pro day. He didn't want to get his velocity clocked at 50mph when the others were throwing 60

everything was a red flag and a bulk of posters on here were screaming it at the time but lo and behold bryce has good manners at a steakhouse

I firmly believe if Tepper was our owner at the time, we would have never selected Cam, he would have had dinner with Gabbert and it would have been over.

The dude is a curse, everything he chooses is wrong

Any idiot could see that the QBs worth taking #1 overall were Anthony Richardson and CJ Stroud.

Bryce should not have even been in the conversation because of the severe limitations he puts on a playbook.

You can have all the processing in the world but it doesnt matter if you cant make the throw or even see the field.

Imagine if you will;, Cam vs Bryce in the same draft, and Tepper and Fitterer are putting their heads together...

as if there is anything to discuss.

He had a sack / being hit problem in college too, led the draft class with at fault sacks and at fault sack %.

I haven't been able to find that, granted I haven't done a ton of digging, but what I found was his college pressure to sack (P2S) rate was actually on the "green" end of things, 14th best of all the below QBs in college with the 5th best pressure grade:

wtf is our media team doing?  douchechills

I bet you're like me and a "older" fan........ you got to grab the attention of younger fans too and SM stuff like that is what works....

You may have killed yourself if they drafted rookie Cam in 2023, it would be 100x more of that stuff with him.

2.7 seconds lets go

That's neither on Ickey nor Bryce, that's a coverage sack.

There were plenty of examples where he drifted into pressure or didn't move in the right direction, but on this play we sent two men out deep and Max Protected with both TEs and the RB staying back to block. Both receivers were completely covered down the field with zero checkdown options and the pass rush got home.

Bryce took a deep drop back due to the PA and to let the receivers get deeper. That was the play design

This sack isn't "Clearly on the QB". There were plenty of examples where Bryce drifts in the pocket or bailed toward pressure last season (open up a random clip from the Jags game for examples), but this is not one of them.

Blame Frank and his dumbass playcalling/design for sending two slow receivers who don't get open well on deep routes with no other options on this one.

He wouldn’t have done either. He would have signed Kerry Collins or Matt Hasselbeck in Free Agency and then drafted somebody else tbh.

It was clear that Cam was better than the other two but everyone was scared to bet on him because Jamarcus Russell was still fresh on everyone’s mind.

Guarantee he would have brought back Matt Moore or and signed some vet.

He might have thrown up if he'd done anything physical at the Combine. He was clearly full to the gills with water to tip the scales over 200lbs.

    • Steelers fans will take over the Stadium and city   It will be unbearable  worse for me, on the west coast, resigned to the nfl network and you know it will be a steelers broadcast team.    It was ungodly bad with sheduer 2 weeks ago  Last game, tried listening  on panthers radio and  watching  on espn live last week but the delay between the 2 drove me nuts  so as bad as they were playing, found something else to do
    • I mean I don't have a personal axe to grind with any human on the Panthers roster.  I know AT shouldn't be dominating the slot. The fact he is....is because we have a horrific front office/management.   I can part with any player.   The goal is a winning team.   the root of the AT ranting, is really just looking out for BY (people like to call me BY hater though).  A QB who was basically screwed from day 1 when we got drafted here.  I went hard at Carolina then too for setting him up to fail. Because it was obvious from the jump the setup was failure by design.  Which was true.   I said Frank bad zero sense with BY.  Miles Sandes made double zero sense.  The players they got in FA made zero sense.     Either you build a BY O.....or you move on from BY.  I have said I am cool either way.  We are in no man's land and have been there since they day we drafted him.
    • It's the QB school guy mentality. Thielen is a shitty #1 option so aaarrrrggghhhh FUUUUUUUUUG HIM!!! This dude SUCKS!!! Yeah, Thielen should no longer be a #1 option at this stage in his career. He honestly shouldn't be a starter at this point in his career. But it's not an Adam Thielen issue that we've had to ask him to do that.
