He looks like a top 5 guy for sure from what I have seen.  Very impressive.  Size speed hands looks to have it all

Just saw The Athletic's latest mock has T-Mac going #6 and then we take Burden at #7

I honestly think I'd cry if he gets taken one pick before us and then we also end up taking a WR as well, worst case scenario.  And I thought I was mad when Sewell got taken by the Lions one pick before us a few years back, this would dwarf that feeling if it happened, haha

So after hearing all the Cam Ward hype, I went and looked uo highlights last week and passed the eye test, big time.  I thought, "we might have something."  So I was intent in watching the game tonight to see what kind of impression he'd make...  and ooowee mayne...  I'm out.  🤣

He has an NFL arm but I’m not sure if he will succeed in the NFL.  Seems too raw to be drafted really early and play immediately.  I really don’t like how he gets rid of the ball at any cost while being sacked.  Most of the time that’s not worth it.

I was thinking he was just having a rough night even if I was unimpressed for most of the game, but then when he ran all the way to the eight sideline and then threw uo what was essentially a punt back to the far left, which I believe they ran back for a pick 6...  bro, that's a fuging peewee level mistake.

You left to early. Three late tds to come back from a 20 point deficit.  Ward had his best game of the year.

    • I am literally too stupid to understand advanced metrics and it makes watching sports sooooo much easier.
    • I am not sure it should be a ‘sell out to go to the SB’ season. And hope they don’t think that.  At the same time I was thinking you absolutely must find out if you want to pay for Bryce or not. That means putting it on him. No protecting and trying to hide weaknesses with the run game and super conservative calls.  So I wish they would do it and find out, win or lose, 2026. No more developing. Time to do it. Let’s see once and for all.
    • My biggest fear with Bryce Young is that he will always do just enough to stick around. He shows flashes and then drops a turd so the hopium is always there. Like his career highlight reel if you cut it up to some hype music and did a YouTube video would actually be quite good. His great plays really, really look good. But after that video you look at his yearly averages for completion percentage, yardage, touchdowns, and virtually every other metric and it is meh as fug. Like you know Bryce is gonna be 13/23 for 157 yards a touchdown and probably a pick.  I will 100% give him his flowers for his athleticism and ability to scramble outside the pocket. I haven’t seen the mythical “super processing ability” he was touted for per se, but he has shown flashes of absolutely elite awareness when it comes to scrambling. The little basketball move he does to shake defensive linemen has almost become a signature move. It’s hard to explain but you know it when you see it he stops on a dime and pivots like he is gonna hit a step back jumper and it has gotten him out of a lot of trouble.  I sincerely, truly, as a vocal Bryce HATER, hope that since we are obviously running with him next year the coaching staff actually tailors plays around his strengths. He needs to be in a pure spread IMO. His size is much less of a hindrance when he can play QB in open space. I feel like most of his highlight reel is from scrambles and play action/bootlegs.
