Chase Daniel - Analysis of Bryce vs. Chargers

Good high level breakdown of the disaster that was Bryce yesterday. Basically, as well knew/suspected. Not seeing the field, not recognizing coverage or reading defenses, panics and checks it down before allowing the play to develop. Guys are open and plays were there to be made but Bryce either wouldn't or couldn't make them.

Far as bryce goes from here, He has lost the pedestal that has come with being the number 1 pick franchise savior. Once you get benched you have to earn it back  which puts him on a even playing field as everybody else even somebody like plummer. Nothing else will be given to him going forward in his career. This will be something he has never had to deal with. It's up to him if can work his way back. Will he in my opinion? Based off what we have seen and how he is built mentally....No.

Plain and simple, the guy plays scared. Can't win like that.

Appears to be a little harder to diagnose a defense on the field than at the dinner table.

he has some complaints about the playcalling but he doesn't hold back. it's worth a full watch.

Daniel was one of the guys who was quick to point out Bryce's issues early last season on the AFS with Mays.

the other thing too im noticing when listening to former players talk about this is they sound like they know what it means for bryce without saying it

like all players are cheering for each other to succeed, even if there are some individual rivalries or hatred or whatever. When you listen to these players and former players talk, you can tell they know bryce isn't cut out for this.

even before this year, everything was VERY couched and VERY conservative.

Sounds like he is the QB coach Bryce needs - someone that isn't afraid to hurt his feelings by letting him know he is awful at every aspect of football, both physical and mental
