Keeping it real about Bryce Young. Listen to those who actually watched film.

Kind of had enough for tonight but it would good to identify and expose the people who are trotting out the propaganda too.

Ahead of Dalton's results which could fuel them to double down, or send them back to come up with more rationalizations.

I mean, most of that is former players that I am seeing. Funny how they are mostly not quarterbacks. Except for Ryan Leaf so far. Leaf didn't cite any film study that I remember it was the same excuses we've listened to for over a year.

HoF QB: "He looks awful on film".

All-time QB bust who went to jail: "It's not his fault".

The narrative that really needs to die is that we've not helped Young out.

Somehow in all this it's been forgotten that we had the 9th overall pick when we selected Bryce Young. We have a bottom third of the NFL roster (and did then too), but we're literally unwatchable with Young at QB. He's actually that bad. He's a force divider.

Scott Fitterer and his team wanted Bryce Young.  They sold Tepper on it.  That always included Dan Morgan.   Dan stayed to keep the Bryce thing alive since it was such a huge investment.  Scott Fitterer fired for the poor job around Bryce.   Dan got the gig to try to build something around Bryce that worked given the huge investement.

I don't think Tepper cares about anyone or thing in term of football.  Anyone can come and go.

2 games....Bryce Young was the Rock Hill practice facility.   Tepper was done.  That's the Tepper way.  Canales had himself and team all ready to try to salvage Bryce.  That's why postgame, Canales and his teammates were all in on Bryce Young.  It all changed when Tepper spoke.  And we know it wasn't Canales, because he was point blank asked about it all and could of easily said so (which is is what a coach should be able to say if they made the call).  It was Tepper.

Morgan should of seen the door with Fitterer.

I haven't seen him in practice, but Plummer looked horrible until the last preseason game.

He was a rookie that was the only one getting reps in a new offense playing with mostly guys who are looking for other jobs currently. The last pre season game he took steps forward which is what you wanna see. The point still remains, he is the only one that's been productive so far in this offense. I mean if you end up playing him over bryce that looks worst than just benching bryce. Only reason why it won't happen because technically bryce simply hasn't looked better in game reps.

I don’t think Tepper benched Bryce. I think Dave actually watched the tape and said fug this. He has a job to do outside of Bryce Young. He’s the HC. He’s ultimately there to win.

Rivera would say things post game and contradict himself the following presser as well.

Christ. Why is bryce benching a hot topic for every other team in the league? Since when is a benching this damn important to other teams? Wtf....why even ask dak this? Somebody who has never been benched or any other player who isnt playing the panthers?? They could careless at the end of the day. This whole thing is just getting annoying to the point I'm ready to just wash hands of it.

Every savvy coach does this. Only the unaware types step in it by discussing that stuff right after the game.

Don't remember them going this hard when Tua got benched for Fitzmagic.

    • It's not only about the draft spots, the scheduling is a huge factor. We already have a tough 2026 schedule by playing the North divisions, that's possibly 7 playoff contenders there and a few true SB contenders between the Lions, Packers, Vikings, Bears, Ravens, Bengals, and Steelers (Browns will still suck lol), while also pulling the AFC West for the 17th game. Let's just say for the sake of argument we are going to be true contenders in 2026 in both scenarios Would you rather go 9-8 and to make the playoffs as the last WC or worst division winner, lose in the first round and then have to add likely the Eagles/Commanders, 49ers/Rams, and Chiefs/Chargers to an already tough schedule because we have a 1st/2nd round finish this year, while picking 19th in the draft (where the worst playoff team picks) or Or lose an extra game to finish 8-9, while ending up in 3rd (obviously need Falcons/Bucs to get a WC spot) and miss the playoffs, but then get to add likely the Cowboys/Giants, Seahawks/Cardinals, Broncos/Raiders to the schedule while picking 13th in the draft (the highest an 8-9 team picked this year). I can understand why some people would just want to go to the playoffs again, and I can't fault that thinking.  But I'm always a bigger picture person and looking at what is best for the future of the franchise and winning a SB, not my immediate feelings that game/season.   So I'm taking those 3 SIGNIFICANTLY easier games and the 6 better draft spots. If we're a true contender in 2026, those 3 games based on divisional finish could very well be the difference of a 1 vs whatever seed.  Right now the top teams in the NFC are the teams who play in places you don't want to have road playoff games at... GB, Detroit, Philly are some of the toughest stadiums to play in, especially if cold weather games for the outdoors ones.  Give me the few extra easier games to hopefully make the difference in getting home field advantage. Making the playoffs to just lose in the first round isn't worth the first scenario to me when the alternative is losing maybe one or two more games while looking better while doing so.  I can stomach those extra losses in a much improved season when it's for the betterment of our future.
    • We also watched Cam take Carolina to the SB but how much did his career change when he went to the Pats? See how that works? You create a post just to rag on player on another team just because you hate. You love to do this stuff. I've seen it for a few years. You are one of the main problems on this site. Not just y0u but you're definitely one of them. This topic should be in the nfl general chat. As a mod I would think you would understand that but no. The mods need mods around here.  This is for Panther's material. Can a real mod move this thread to it's proper place please?
