Best of the defense

1. ILB Shaq Thompson: 79.5
2. OLB Thomas Incoom: 77.0
3. OLB Jadeveon Clowney: 69.1
4. OLB DJ Johnson: 67.4
5. CB Jaycee Horn: 66.8

On a day where the defense really struggled to wrap up, Thompson and Horn picked up three stops apiece.

Horn, in addition, allowed four receptions for 33 yards over seven targets.

Good to see D.J. Johnson developing into a solid role player.

Miles Sanders 👀

Some bright spots like DJ Johnson and J Sanders and some duds that really can't afford to be at this point in their careers like Tommy Tremble and Brady Christensen.

Trevin Wallace we'll have to see how he bounces back but for now he's a rook.

As much as this defense needs attention in the draft we also need another TE and an offensive lineman to develop.

15. ILB Trevin Wallace: 51.4
16. CB Troy Hill: 51.1
17. NT Nick Thurman: 50.1
18. DE LaBryan Ray: 45.6
19. OLB Charles Harris: 38.7

Both Hill and Harris were chalked up with two missed tackles. One of Harris’ came on the 63-yard touchdown by Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.

I was furious with Harris. He was slow, he missed tackles, and his body language was not good.  He literally caused us to play 10 vs 11.  He was that bad.  I am surprised that he got a 38.

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
