Bryce is the reason we decimated our defense in order to spend money to upgrade the offensive line to give him more protection, only to have him play so poorly that he was benched two games into the season. Gosh, I can't stand that unmotivated midget who spent the first four months of the off-season watching Netflix and Youtube instead of fixing his footwork and improving his game. It's one thing to be physically extremely limited, but it's another to be such a lazy bum who couldn't even bother to put in the work after having an all-time stinker of a rookie season. Not to mention, he refused to throw at the combine and put on a bunch of fake water weight to tip the scales at over 200 lbs in order to maintain his draft position. Where the fug is his competitive fire? Where is his pride and his sense of responsibility not only for himself but also for his teammates and the Panthers organization that's paying him millions? What did we do to deserve this disgraceful, soft, apathetic disaster of a quarterback? 

P.S. I blame Tepper for his incompetence too. He sure can pick them losers.

Nick scott might be the most frustrating secondary player since nakamura

Bryce deserves all the blame for the sorry state of our defense, because we deliberately dismantled it in order to shore up the O line and give him more weapons, only to have his sorry ass waste this precious second opportunity because he was too lazy to skip Netflix for actually working on his craft.

Dismantled what? Brown and Luvu were the only good players last year and Luvu wasn’t staying. Burns was absolute arm tackling trash that would fit with this current defense perfectly but any Amazon driver can do that for 10% pay

Morgan getting a huge pass.  He basically orchestrated a save Bryce Young mission going into this season and he was benched in 2 games. 
 

that was the selling point of the HC no other team looked at.  Canales is a green newb, meh OC, and basically the only real plus sold to us is he could fix Bryce 

that was the point of guards and our allocation of money.  Support and make life easy on the young QB.  It’s what our D is a joke and was going in

This is fuggin asinine thinking.  Bryce didn’t make us give up any fuggin thing.  He of course wanted to be #1 who wouldn’t.  Bryce has no blame at all for being drafted by the shet franchise.  Wake up

      I don't think we don't call things aggressively, for a Canales offense, anyway. We don't have a QB who makes aggressive throws nor stresses defenses downfield. He is at a career low on 20+ attempts per game and his career 10-20 QB rating is abysmal.  That will always be a limiting factor IF you are looking for a high flying, downfield offense. I am not even that concerned about it, I just want to see effective offense and we decidedly do not possess that. A large chunk of that is Bryce. I think the second biggest chunk is Canales. All the other components(XL included) are fairly minor in comparison to those two things. I am an advocate of attempting to improve at QB. I am not focused on finding "The QB." We failed at that with Bryce. So let's just get better. If that's a one year vet or a draftee or a cheap trade or some combination of any/all, we should do that. We have to get that QB better. Bryce will fail in 2026 and we need to have REALISTIC options to take over when that happens. That ain't Andy Dalton or Hendon Hooker or Jack Plummer or Mike White or....you get the picture. Be serious about hedging that Bryce bet and not just having to make do if he struggles or gets injured.  My mind is definitely made up on Canales. It's year two and he hasn't improved much, nor do I think the bones of a good HC are there. Ron Rivera got to that point after two seasons and he was open about the changes he had to make and advice he got to make that leap in year 3. If we don't see the same after next year, how is he not just Brian Daboll?
