Diontae Johnson had “sigh of relief” when he was traded to Ravens

The only weird thing to me is how everyone was saying how good of a teammate he was when it seemed the writing was on the wall due to his increasing negativity.

They are all in the same boat though. Probably some commiseration going on.

Thielen was vocal and demonstrative too, just didn't get busted quitting on Andy.

Sucks we didnt have a team ready to compete because of Bust Young.....

I liked the couple of games where he was engaged with Dalton after that he was ready to gtfoh and who can really blame him

can't blame him for sure, but it also makes me appreciate guys like Chuba who still puts in 110% every game and snap.

Well, yeah, it is a no win. When they gave him WRs, after hearing all the complaining about them for a year, he wasn't ready to use them.

It was what I used to think when people said we didn't have any fast WRs that could get open deep. I was like, so?

maybe he is generally a good teammate and liked.....maybe Canales couldn't handle him.  That IMO seems like a reasonable assumption.  Think Sheena or someone basically hinted at that too.  His issues in Pitt seemed to of also been more Tomlin related than pure teammate related.

and on top of that, rookie HCs sometimes are weird as they try to learn and build there own. I'm 100000% convinced that is why Cam Newton had to go when Rhule came here.  Rhule was such a buffoon and ignorant....he didn't want to deal w/ a loud vocal vet who knew stuff.

Dionate came from one of the best orgs in all of football.  Maybe Canales didn't like his straight talk about there being some issues that he couldn't fix.  He can only play WR.  Maybe Canales only wants bologna sunshine guys.

Dennis and Chris had a point on 99.9 The Fan.

The trade is a reflection of what the NFL thinks his value is worth. Morgan can't control what other teams are offering.

I mean the option is to keep him for him to walk anyways and then we MAYBE get a comp pick for 2026. All you do until then is take reps from Coker and Legette.

Maybe

But you have to think the Steelers were willing to part with him for an injury prone Jackson. (This is before Jackson was doing as well as he is this season). They were willing to part with him for that.

Wasn't there a bunch of Pittsburgh fans pissed off because he refused to jump on fumbles and stuff? or some other similar issue.

Tomlin don't like the bologna.  And I think it's clear, Johnson was doing things that wouldn't please his coaches in Pitt.  Effort and complaints.   But his teammates could of still liked him.

    • Should've been: Duren and Moose: 2 each (Duren for starting it, Moose for going crazy after lol) Bridges: 3 (1 for defending Moose, 2 for escalating further with Stew) Stewart: 10 (fug that dude, came off the bench, long history already, NBA should've sent a message with double digit games)   Oh well, I think we can weather the storm for 4 games. A win tonight would be huge as the next couple after are tough, vs Houston and Cleveland. Last game against the Wizards should be a win even short handed. Then back to full strength and keep the train rolling. Still thinking we get a 7 or 8 seed and win 1 of a potential 2 in the play-ins to make the real playoffs. 6 seed and skipping the play-in entirely is a tough ask. But I do think we are better than Magic, Heat, Hawks and can pass 2 of them before the end of the regular season.
    • Hmmm... Well, one of them consistently got dumb penalties that you never see any other receiver commit like offensive offsides on 4th down. One of them consistently would just run routes out of bounds for no reason. XL's only saving grace is that he has been a solid blocker at WR for us There is a reason XL often didn't get the ball thrown to him - he made some of the dumbest mistakes I have ever seen from a receiver... Even receivers that have zilcho talent (Mingo, Terrace Marshall, and all of our other WR draft busts) didn't make mistakes this dumb. It is bad enough when you aren't helping your team because you can't get open; it is much worse when you are so bad and dumb that you are actively hurting your team. I honestly don't think there is any fixing XL. The dude is just an idiot and lacks any kind of awareness and common sense on and off the football field
    • Game planning and being the eyes from the box during the game. 🤷‍♂️ it's all I got.
