Trevin Wallace is a special teamer. He got knocked out yesterday by Daniel jones. I like him, but he’s limited.

Jewell is about to turn 30, but he’s a smart player and i think he can play multiple positions

Jewell is a fine player, Wallace is whatever, neither should have an impact on who the panthers draft for the front 7.

Lmaoooo...oh poo I don't think i was paying attention when that happened.

Best thing about Walker is he’s not done growing and has a big frame. He’ll make that physical jump between his first and second year. He has a good head on his shoulders.

Worst part is he’ll be raw. Kirby’s defensive philosophy is getting the biggest, blackest, meanest players he can and just letting them go hog wild.

this kid will be ripping people in half year two.

Lol...it sounds messed up but at the same time thats How you win in college football.

Saban was notable for really hammering technique in his players and frankly it made up for their physical limitations as the other schools caught up with his recruiting.

Saban was a legit incredible coach, not just a recruiter.

I don't keep up with all the prospects. I just watch college ball to enjoy it and haven't watched ECU in a good while.

The best CB in the last draft was from Toledo(saw him play live in the MAC championship game). It really doesn't make any sense to assume the caliber of player based on school.

The worst team in the NFL takes a LB with their 1st Rd pick.

Yep sounds like something we would do. Sign me up!

Who are you suggesting or hoping for? Sanders is out because Deion wont allow it. Who else you got? TMAC probably out too when we finish with about 5 or 6 wins im guessing.

It's ECU man. What have they won in the last decade? The papa johns bowl?

Edit: And it's not like ECU gets a lot of high profile players either

The 3-4 was Dave's choice. We've never really had the players to run it effectively.

That's how I remember it too. He "influenced" Ron Rivera to go that way before he fired him. It was a mistake. As you pointed out, we've never had to right players to effectively run that scheme week in and week out; especially against the better teams in the league.

LB is a massive need. Unless they are in position to draft a top notch QB, they should consider it or even potentially trading down to get more picks. This team has holes up and down the roster in particular the defense. Which might have 2 or 3 guys which are guaranteed to be here next season.

Sanders/Hunter/Tmac/Ward

Anything outside those 4 would be a huge disappointment for me.

Id like Hunter for sure. I think he is a best fit for CB but would be nice to have a player that can do both. I have  a feeling we win anywhere from 2-3 more games and it knocks us out from all them unless one falls pretty far. Ward may fall but I dont know if we have the courage to draft a QB that high again for another season.

    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
    • I'd give anything to go back to a 4-3 but we are so removed from having the pieces for that. All because Tepper wanted to force this 3-4 on all our coaches.
