oh believe me I did! I only watched tiny pieces of this game because I was putting young children to bed but I did see most of overtime and wow what a Panthers end to that garbage ass game, on both sides! Just stating what everyone already knows, the Panthers have and always will be dogsh*t

Could always go be a Saints fan…..

The debates is over, 9 is the future.

He will be the QB next season for sure. But they do need to redo the backup position(s). I’m off the “draft a QB in the first round” train but getting a competent veteran backup who isn’t 37 years old is a MUST.

Bryce?  Why?  Wrs had a could drops but I kind of expect that from them now...

Nearly 300 yards and one passing TD?  Give a kicker enough chances, they will begin to miss.  Got to finish more drives.  Sorry, but this whole notion of gotta give Bryce some slack while also saying he's now legit don't exactly jive.  He's either going to be our franchise QB or he's got to go. The worst thing in the world is to hang on to a middling QB based on perceived upside/potential.

Bryce had 2 TDs and was robbed of a third. Without a turnover, and without a run game. He absolutely did not lose I'd this game by any measure. He played well enough for us to win ultimately.

Masochism?

I mean if the "Panthers have and always will be dogsh*t" why are you bothering to even give them a seconds thought?

Habit mostly. I was excited to post fun things about this game if they won because it would have “bucked” (no pun intended) all the previous curses the Panthers have battled in their existence but man did they EVER reassure me that this franchise is cursed and total dogsh*t tonight! It’s hilarious how predictably awful they are. I wonder how they’ll find a way to lose next week??? I’m going to guess an Eddie Piñero game winning FG attempt is blocked and returned for a TD game over panthers lose!

He threw the ball 46 times. He'd better be close to 300 yards lol

The play calling was fine. And we didnt abandon the run. The passing game was working better.

Poor run defense, missed fg's, dropped passes, and a fumble cost us the game.

This is a logical analysis of the game. It’s simple.

If Canales doesn't trot Eddie out there not once but twice instead of going for 1 damn yard at home we likely don't even have to worry about losing in overtime. We got outcoached on the whole today. All there is to it.

To be fair, if the “most accurate kicker in NFL history” makes either of his 2 misses we win the game, so he made the right calls coaching wise. Agree tho, I would have liked to see us line up and knock people in the dirt and go get 1 yard

Keep Bryce I’ve seen enough this isn’t a fluke

All except squandering 5 red zone opportunities.  If he had punched just ONE of those FG attempts into a TD, we win.  Also, the robbed TD was a heck of a play on a pass with poor-ish placement.  Thielen made a few grabs today that made him and Bryce look good.

Well look let's be completely honest with one another. You and I both know Eddie isn't it and that "most accurate" label being thrown around was a facade waiting to be blown to bits.

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
