So we get 3rd because head to head tiebreaker in division goes strength of victories THEN SOS

Shouldn’t affect draft order though, we’ve been jobbed by this before, finishing last in the division but still picking behind Atlanta

pretty sure it was the Bryce draft

Will be real close as to who ends up 7th and 8th between us and the Jets, no idea how each of the remaining games will affect the SOS, but as of right now we're separated by .002 in the SOS.

EDIT:  Looks like the KC/Denver game going final increased our SOS advantage by another .002, so right now we have a .004 lead on the 7th pick, but not about to do the math on the remaining few games to see how it changes things.

I think if Jets beat Miami (winning by 12 with 10 minutes left) then I think we pick 7th--have not been reading all posts, so hope this is right.

That’s what I’m seeing too. Not set in stone yet till the day is done but looking like we can safely say 7th right now.

@Growl So .002 might be a thing

@tukafan21 we’ll give back the .002 after the Cards win. Jets will gain another .002 after Rams lose. So it’ll come down to the Vikings game. We need Minnesota to win.

    • I mean, he's a professional athlete.  What you think as a fan vs what he should think as a player are completely different.  Being bad doesn't mean you should lack confidence in yourself, and really that is true in all forms of life.  Do everything you want to do with confidence. Justin Fields sucks, but does he ever play like someone who doesn't believe in his own abilities?   Obviously you need more than confidence to be a high-level NFL player, and Bryce will never be that.  But he could still create 2-3 extra plays a game if he allowed himself to play more "free" like he did in the second half of last season.  The fact he refuses to use his legs to pick up yards nowadays hurts this team.  Simple things like that would go a long way for us, even if not for him.
    • I've always thought it odd that the QB is the only guy in the roster who carries a record. If a RB puts up 1200 yards but the team sucks then everyone still says the RB had a good year. If a QB puts up good numbers put the D is atrocious and the win loss record isn't great due to that then the narrative is that the QB can't win. Now that we're finding a way to win with suddenly dominant D and dominate running game people are trying to shift to this "Bryce is just a winner" narrative while he puts up bottom of the league numbers while near the top of the league in turnovers. It's just funny to watch.
