McDermott was--Brandon Beane was another.  The Buffalo Bills should be the Carolina Panthers, but our idiot owners kept Marty Hurney and Ron Rivera instead. As for Brady, I am not sold that he is a leader of men who can build a culture.

Maybe he has grown, but his play calling/style was AWFUL when he was here. Please don't try to remember this with rose colored glasses after the fact.  Your average fan could predict the plays at home most of the time. We were not running an NFL offense and it 100% showed. 

Glad he is doing well for himself, but the decision to let him go at the time was 100% right.

Brady wasn't awful, what he was....was a green OC that was paired up w/ a drowning idiot.  Brady needed to be paired w/ an actual NFL HC. 

Brady's playcalling was actually solid for a young OC. Which is why he got HC looks after the 2020 season with us.  The O that year was probably the most we have overachieved at any point in recent history.   Literally everyone in the O had a career year.  Good players to JAGs. 

What Brady had was a redzone issue.  Which had a lot to do with the fact Matt Rhule didn't run a proper team/practice....and Rhule's teams weren't running the proper reps in practice on either side of the ball.   I still contend as I did then....the talent yet green OC was the first scapegoat once it started to become obvious Matt Rhule was a complete idiot (and IMO it was undeniable starting in camp going into the 2021 season, same one Brady was made the scapegoat for what was really the Matt Rhule issue)

100% disagreed. It was very obvious he wasn't the problem and got scapegoated. That entire staff was way too light on NFL experience. It was clear that Brady was an inexperienced play caller but it was also clear that his offensive system was going to translate to the NFL.

I hope the Saints don't hire him because I like him. And honestly I think it might be too much too soon for him. He's still pretty light on NFL experience.

I could see a Mike McDaniels problem.  I think a creative smart guy wasn't ready for the top leadership role there.

I don't really see an issue with McDaniels. The issue with that team is that their QB has a glass jaw and they don't have a viable backup. He's 25-16 with Tua. He's 3-7 without him. They won 11 games the one season Tua stayed healthy. They just can't afford to have backups like Tyler Huntley and Skylar Thompson with a starter who is likely to miss some games. You need a top tier backup.

I don't know, he gives off too much of the I'm hip and let's also be friends vibe.  What his record against team not below .500

Yeah, he definitely thinks he's a super cool Miami guy now. Watching him transform from football super nerd to Rico Suave has been pretty entertaining. It's like watching Zuckerberg and Musk and Bezos think they're cool now. Like STFU nerds, you just got money now you're never gonna be cool so just stop. LOL

      Just another 1st round QB that never paid off for the team that drafted them or traded for them. It's been like this since the SB began. 36 QBs have now won the SB & only 13 of them have been 1st rounders winning with their original team. Namath 1968, Griese 1972, Bradshaw 1974, McMahon 1985, Simms 1986, Aikman 1992, Elway 1997, Roethlisberger 2005, P.Manning 2006, E.Manning 2007, Rodgers 2010, Flacco 2012, & Mahomes 2019. Only 3 have taken longer than 5 seasons as the starter to win a SB.  4  6  5  4  6  4  15  2  9  4  3  5  2 [the years it takes for these 1st round QBs] 5  1  4  1  3  1  1  2  3  4  [10 of the 36 have won a chip with their 1st team that haven't been drafted in the 1st round. These are the years it took them as a starter] What stands out? Only 2 of these QBs have lost their first championship appearance. Elway took 4 years as a 1st rounder & Hurts took 2 years as a 2nd rounder. Of the 10 non-1st round QBs, 2 are 2nd rounders, 3 are 3rd rounders, 5 are 6th rounders or later. Please stop wasting time on drafting 1st round QBs with such a high failure rate. The remaining 13 QBs are traded or free agent signings. Stafford, Favre, Young, Williams and Dawson are the 5 trades. Peyton Manning & Tom Brady also won for teams as free agents on a short stay as well as being drafted. The lesson here is don't waste your franchise on farming up 1st rounders for the league, and steer clear of trading for a franchise QB. Stick to finding that championship QB by drafting them outside of the 1st round or through free agency.

      I lost most of the respect I had for Fox in 2010. He should have resigned if he hated the job that much. Instead he stuck for his paycheck and let stuff go to hell.    I burned out on Ron too but my deal breaker issue with him was away from football and after he was gone from the Panthers. He may have been out of his depth but never quit on us.
