Mike Vick is Back According to Andy Reid

Thought it was interesting considering the polarization his name caused over the last few seasons on this board, or at least his alias of Michael Bolton.

I am pulling for him to finish out his career strong and be a better passer as well, sort of like a redemption story - as long as it doesn't interfere with our team's success.

Anyway, here it is:

“I think he looks great. You saw him today,” coach Andy Reid said. “He’s working with the second group. Any time he gets into trouble, he’s out of there. You see his quickness and speed back. He’s throwing the ball confidently.”

Now proceed with your "why do we care?" posts.

If he is back in True Vick form I'm just glad we don't have him on the schedule twice a year like when he played for ATL...

I'm a Vick fan and had a 5 second glimmer of hope when there was the rumors about him coming to Carolina last year and this off season, but I know that he won't gel with our set up here. Hes a great athlete(if he really is in his pre-prison shape) but he'll never be a hall of fame QB.

I ran this through Babelfish. Here's the translation:

Come on. Somebody PLEASE trade us something for him. Please? He's really great. I swear he is. Surely a 3rd round pick isn't too much to ask for a guy this good, is it?

Well he couldn't learn the WCO in all the time in Atlanta, if he can learn it in Philadelphia that would be something.

I although thought it was funny Reid was praising him for getting out of there at the first sign of pressure. One of the big knocks on him in Atlanta was that instead of staying in the pocket and finding a receiver downfield, he would bolt at the first sign of pressure and run the ball. All you had to do to stop him is collapse the pocket and put a spy on him to shut him down. That is why we had better success with him once we figured that out.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
