You raise a valid point. I see Russell giving them a chance vs going with a qb. I've seen they are high on Dart too. Possible 2nd round or trade up option at the back of 1.

I still believe Dart is a 3rd or lower guy.

I think this is an all-in move by the current regime to save their jobs

One thing I’ve noticed lately is there is no mention whatsoever of Tepper or getting his buy-in when it comes to decision making or anything - contracts, etc.

so, that’s something

I'm sure he had a meeting with the 3 after the season was over to discuss the plans going forward. He's still in the know, of that I'm certain. They are just leaving him out of the discussions publicly. He will be in the draftroom when the selections are made so even if he keeps his mouth shut his presence alone is a distraction they do not need. But it's his team and he can do whatever da fug he wants with it. I probably would too.

Agree with everything you’re saying- I just (wishfully, perhaps) hear a different tone from this front office. Rhule/Fitt/Reich constantly name dropped “Mr Tepper” in just about any answer about “coming to a decision”; it was like it was engraved in their brain about Tepper being involved in an extension or free agency strategy etc.

We will see some draft time, but for now- it’s a positive and signals what we began to see last season as far as Tepper letting his football staff do, idk, their job.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
