Smitty's broken arm has been a blessing in disguise...

Thats a ton of reps that the other guys are getting, and man do they need it.

Smith commands such respect on the field that he usually gets the ball. That means now in 7 on 7 drills other players are actually getting thrown too more often and not just running the routes.

Moore had a good night tonight and may be pull ahead into that #2 spot.

I have told friends for some time that Moore could have a good shot at being the Panthers #2 WR.

Seems like he is playing good, while making a good case why he should,or could be the # 2 WR.

I actually think it hurts us badly but not how most think....

the biggest questions mark coming into this season is how the DL plays in regards to pressure.....if they can get enough pressure so teams don't pick us apart. Well, if all we have to test the defense is Dwyane Jarrett, LaFell, and Moore.....the defense might not get a true test how effective they are. I mean, you can probably give Jarrett and company more time to run there routes and the secondary still survives and looks effective. No team we play is going to be attacking us with the caliber of WRs our defense is currently seeing. I think not having Smitty hurts the defenses ability to gauge where they are.

wow. how many people actually thought Kenny Moore could start on this team? especially after the dropped punt debacle

I did. The punts is something different, but I realized in last season pre-season he was catching everything that hit his hands

Not too concerned about Moore missing reps with his go-to guy though?

Naw, Steve is one of the best in the league. He's worked with Matt in several games, that'll be fine. They dont have what Jake/Smith had yet, but honestly I wouldn't get nervous over missed practices with each other

ProFootballTalk now reports that insiders at Panthers camp say that Matt Moore is already relegated to the backup spot and many in camp are glad Steve Smith (not the good one) is hurt.

At least he's not gonna punch anyone this time!

What?

Don't know if he has the size to be the opposite of smith. Not that have to have size, but more often than not, ya have a bigger receiver play opposite of the speed guy.

But he should see the field a lot

is kenny fast enough to take on the X receiver role?

if so then that would allow smith to fall into the flanker or slot receiver role where it seems he would more like to be.

i do think that unless lafell is a whole lot of fail, moore's best hope is to be the 3rd receiver. lafell just fits the moose role better than anyone (except for maybe jarrett if he gets a clue).

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
