Milton Williams in talks (Schefter says it’s a deal, Russini says wait wait, drama, all the feels)

Dan Morgan 2025 Offseason:

Overpays for Tremble, Corbett and Horn (saves 5 mil this year).

Let's the number 1 DT on the market run a fake signing.

Signs a Raiders Safety (maybe?)

Everyone saying this would be "exciting", we have two different meanings.

Dramatic AF. We are two hours into the legal tampering period. This does not make or break a team, and it’s funny you think we overpaid for these guys yet you are mad that we missed out on paying a DT 27 million a year.

glad we didn’t give 26M to a DT I hadn’t even heard of

So dammm Glad we didn’t go that route yea I wanted him but not overpaying for a DT when we need run stuffing to be a part of our focus with who we sign. We can’t create pressure with good DB play and key blitz packages. But but but stuffing the run should be our focus with whoever we sign.

we have 26 million in room. this team is trash and has minimal cap space. Yall wanted Higgins that's a fuging joke. Shouldn't have paid tremble and corbet to come back. Moton needs to restructure LIKE NOW.

Then the terrible in coverage run defending safety we just paid 17 a year is right up your alley....

I'd rather have the game changing interior pass rusher

factoring in the horn and moerig signing the panthers should have around 140ish million next year of salary cap, I think next off season (BY year 4) is when we should be making the big moves either signings, trade or both.  I like milton but just wasnt crazy about paying him 27 per.   Build organically through the draft and attack next year.

“Minimum cap space” yet was in on one of the biggest FA this year. We had right at 30 million in cap last year when we signed our two stud guards. We have plenty cap space, and can make a lot more with a few simple moves like cutting Tuttle. Moton is on the last year of his deal and they want to wait to check out that knee another season before kicking the can down the road more than we already have

dude, every year we have like 15 mil in available cap space and never make the playoffs.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
