They tried him at KO last year. He's looking much better this year. Glad to see him playing well. Hope he gets some good playing time as RB and WR.

Because we drafted a local 1-AA hero and we must force him to return punts.

Goodson is a beast and should be getting returns this year. I wouldnt mind seeing him get a carry or 2 per game.

Punt returning is a different skill set.

You want a guy with straight ahead speed - ala Michael Bates - on kicks. On punts, you want more of a shifty, elusive open-field guy, ala Steve Smith.

There are some guys who can do both, but they're rare.

PR you need a lot better hands and coordination. The ball is coming at a way high angle and it's usually all funky lookin'. Kickoffs usually don't have any english on them.

PR also need to be able to more elusive with good vision. Goodson hasn't really shown a lot of that. That kickoff return is one of the few hard tackles I've seen him break.

I don't know if he ever got hit 100% actually. I think there was always someone in front of him or the defender didn't hit him full force one way or another.

Not taking away from him though; I've been begging (not on here) for him to do KR's all preseason after watching the catastrophe that the others have caused on both KR and PR.
