Otah has setback...

Panthers RT Jeff Otah is not expected to play in Week 1 after having a setback in his recovery from an early-August knee scope.

Otah remains on the active/PUP list, and he's yet to resume practicing. Geoff Schwartz, who showed promise as a fill-in for Otah late last season, will draw the start against the Giants. The Panthers averaged 183 rushing yards in Schwartz's three starts last year, so DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart owners can rest easily.

This has probably been brought up already, but Otah's scoping... it wasn't the injury from last season was it? Just curious why the scope was done in August and not immediately after the season. I'm assuming he suffered another injury during OTA's or Mini-Camps maybe, and as a result couldn't get the scope until August? If not, pretty fuging stupid to wait until August to do some surgery, no?

Im not worried about Swartzes side at all its Jordan Gross that been letting everyone come on thru. He looks like sh*t so far this season. Ok flame away, all of your were thinking it anyway, I just said it outloud.

Yea I think he has had trouble adjusting to the Ref back there. Some of his old moves just dont work now. Still having a man beast on the right side is a big advantage when you have the dude right beside him.

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
