Vegas had the preseason projection for Washington at 6.5 wins last year.

I feel more confident that we will exceed that number than any time since before the 2019 season

Their win total for the season was 4.5 at the beginning of the season. Spot on if you ask me.

Panthers 6.5

Damn for the first time in forever I think we easily get that, our schedule is ridiculously easy

If we only get to 6 wins in Bryce's third year, he may be on the way out. As far as rookie contracts go, this is where you expect to finally be able to compete. The team trading so much to get him hurt this process, so it isn't necessarily on Bryce, but it is on him and the coaches to maximize his ability to make the loss of draft capital a positive in the win column; to this point, it hasn't been.

6.5 feels right, if we continue on our upward trajectory I could see somewhere in the neighborhood of 7-9 wins this year

However to think that's a lock to go over it ridiculous considering the history of Tepper's time here.

5 wins would get several people fired

People would get fired, but I'm not sure that its Dan and Dave.  Tepper gave a short order cook 5 games into year 3.  I would think he'd give Dan and Dave a 3rd year to see if they can make it work.  I don't feel 100% confident about that, but I think its more likely than Tepper firing them after year 2.

Perhaps but matching last years win total when they spent money revamping the defense and the fact they only have 4 teams on the schedule that made the playoffs last year would at the very least make their seats very warm.

    • Looking like it might be game 7 for Pitt and Phi. Philly is spent. I like more rest for the canes
    • Moton is the man through and through. 2 things I'll always give Gettleman credit for, 1 is drafting Moton, the other is building a SB contending roster and blowing it up in one off-season
    • Kurb is still alive and well.  I’m still friends with him on all of the social media.  He truly is a great man!  That’s my bro!  He always looked out for me since the early days of the huddle.  It definitely makes me sad that he just quit posting here, but that’s life.  He still shares his takes on social media and X, but a lot of the huddle vets just grew tired of this format and the environment, I guess?  It’s a lot of guys that were valuable contributors here that just stopped posting but are still alive and passionate Panthers fans.  Blindsite used to post huge write-ups and was a well-respected poster and then just disappeared.  We had one of these type threads several years ago and he checked back in and explained he just lost the motivation to stay active here.  It was amazing hearing from him again…   I signed up in 04 after coming over from the Charlotte.com boards and been here ever since.  (For those that don’t know - this is Proudiddy - had to change the name very recently due to ‘ol tootsie roll penis and the bad press 😂).  I’m forever thankful for all of you, even those who I haven’t had the greatest history with, I still appreciate yall.  Many have come and gone, both figuratively and literally, and that has put a lot into perspective over the years.  I went from a young, newly married, wide-eyed twenty year-old guy with a baby on the way, to a now forty-two year-old guy, recently divorced and newly re-married guy with my oldest baby now an adult and 5 more kids since.  And what ride it has been!  You guys have been a much bigger part of my life than I really care to acknowledge.😂
