Until a new CBA is reached, a new coach can't have contact with players that aren't under the CBA. Existing coaches are allowed certain contact.

Yeah, Fox is gone, but the only way to have a coach in place is if he's already with the team. A new hire can't do anything without a CBA in place.

He would be stupid not to. He knows it will take years to get Stanford back here if he looses luck. So why not get that guaranteed money in case they decide to 'go another direction' a couple years down the road? The NFL BS may be cleared up by then as well.

Harbaugh staying would be fantastic news, he gets all this love because of his brothers success and some recent success in the pac 10 ?? come on people is this really the guy you want coaching our team? seriously? get off the bandwagon and stop copying all the other posters we need a coach with experience in the nfl not some college first timer that is 90% likely to be a huge bust

agreed. Harbaugh is a good offensive mind and would be a good coach but I'm starting to think they both stay at Stanford with this CBA thing still up in the air.
