God forbid this is the way the Draft shakes out

You guys whom are so desperate for another offensive player will make any argument to justify your stance.

On offensive players whose value equals 10 too is QBs and elite left tackles.

Otherwise, it's defense.

I'm not mad either way they go honestly bc we not a complete team.  We could easily draft Vernon ghoslton all over and that value wouldn't mean a thing. We aren't in the position of wasting picks. Our pick needs to be a starter and with limited guess work of how he'd fit in. Evero, doesn't deserve the choice of wasting another player career. Chinn and Luvu could've did more damage. Hopefully  we hit the pick if it's Walker or Williams but we need production for our team... offense or defense.

The TE has always ranked 5th in targets Canales system.  Makes no sense to get a TE so high

Imo pick needs to be TMac or defense. But I wouldn’t be mad if they went with Warren

Yeah, ultimately we need to avoid a bust and basically a role/rotational player at 8. Get someone who is going to contribute from day one and make a difference.

This is something that people aren't considering for several positions, offensively and defensively. It's not just about the player, it's about the fit.

The best way to look at it!!  The best value for our team... the pick has to contribute!!

I'm not against Tmac but I feel Golden  makes as much since in the offense we have. His game resembles Coker and Leggette to a degree. Golden gives us the quick twitch wr with yac that could find open spots for Bryce faster.  Even then, I would rather trade back a few and draft either.

Don't get me wrong, positional value and fit are a big deal. This is why I am dead set on trading down.

Better value, less risk all things considered.

I listen to Jake delhomie on radio and he basically said "They need some "guys" ". I've been saying the #1 goal for the draft is just add talent. That's #1-5 goals= add talent. Figure how to get them on field later.... Outside of dbrown, hunt, and maybe horn. No one is respected or feared by other teams. Even during the 7-9 years, Panthers were a tough game and had Thomas Davis, Smitty, peppers, gross, stew, Luke, kalil, norwell, Olsen, minter, Norman. Those are "guys" and even if a lost happened, the other team had sit in ice baths longer....

I'm not mad. Won't be mad no matter who they draft.

Just been watching the NFL a very long time.

I agree. We should take the best player left on the board or trade down. Whomever it is needs to heavily contribute on day 1.

The NFL tells everyone exactly how much they value every position when they hand out free agent contracts. Receivers are making $35M a year, it’s a premium position.

different viewpoint

Has that helped the Bengals?

…the eagles have premium receivers but they also mostly run the ball and rely heavily on those lines and rotation

football is, and will always be, build from the inside out

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
