Reminds me a lot of Drew Brees. 6'2 Senior out of TCU . Projected a 4th rounder but i believe will move up to 3rd.

Ever year in college his completion percentage went up. Every year in college his QB rating went up (166 this season). Every year the number of sacks he took went down.

I believe he is playing in the senior bowl. Hopefully we have some folks looking at him. Could be a late round steal. Most places rank him the 7th best QB in this draft.

I like him, the biggest knock that seems to go against him is that he played for TCU. If we could get him in the 4th or with a conditional 3rd round pick I would be pretty happy.

Not a good pick...he will be a coach in a few years. He reminds me of all those QBs with big numbers that come out of Texas Tech.

He's tough and very smart. But his arm is in no way an NFL arm. He reminds me alot of the guy who was the qb for the U when they lost to Ohio state in the Championship game years ago. The guy who threw to Johnson (with the Texans) in college. great college qb but just does not have the arm to play at the next level. I hope he makes it but I don't think he will.

Sign me up. I live in Fort Worth, and thus have been able to the attend many TCU games (I'm not a TCU fan, so this is not a fan's point of view), but when he plays he takes complete command of the field. He has great vision, a strong arm (despite those who haven't seen him argue he puts a great ball in a place that his receivers can run after catch, nice deep ball too), goes through progressions, good athlete. If there is any QB I'd like outside of Luck, it's this guy... Will be steal of draft.

By the way, a guy I work with knows this guy, says he's super smart and all ready took and passed the Bar Exam and will be going to Law School if NFL doesn't work out... Very smart guy. High Character and does a lot in the community even as a player.

    • I'm looking at the schedule and I see a 10+win season easy.  I think Carolina goes undefeated in the division.  I also believe that the Bears, Bengals, Lions, Browns, Steelers are very winnable.  Revenge game with phillips and the eagles could be a win.  Honestly only 2 games I see as chalking up a L to off the bat is the Seahawks and Broncos.
    • I guess so. Don't think I was involved with previous discussions.  Tepper is one of the newest owners in the NFL. Dan is going into his 3rd season as a GM - ever. Dave is going into his 3rd season as a HC - ever. Before becoming a HC, he was an OC/playcaller for one season total. Idzik is about to go into his 1st year as a play caller - ever. WRs are rookies, sophomores and 3rd year guys - though the experienced 3rd year guys are XL and Coker (who has missed a ton of games). TEs are guys going into their 2nd and 3rd seasons, and Tommy Tremble - though Sanders has missed a ton of games. QB has played 3 years. Chuba is an experienced RB, but Brooks and Etienne have taken very little snaps at the position. O-line is more experienced vets with some talent - which is HUGE. Need them to stay healthy. I mean the offense is very young in every aspect except O-line. You see it differently?
