I'm wondering if Deion is a huge part of the problem. You're not just drafting Shadeur, you're drafting Prime Time as well and I can't imagine the thought of having to put up with his constant input is going to be appealing or appreciated, especially at the Giants where the coach and GM jobs are on the line. If those guys are out at the end of the year, you can bet Deion would be after the HC job and his son would make that push as well.

they got tons of air time---more than any other college with many more players in the draft--they promote themselves and accuse anyone who critiques them of being haters.  No.  Shedeur is nothing but a product of his environment.  Not a bad college qb.  But as it stands,he is at least the third best in a very weak QB group.

He might be the best pass rusher on the prison yard flag football team before his rookie contract is set to expire.

Yep over unsubstantiated allegations sure.....

He'd still be better than anyone on our roster.

BS "allegations" almost ruined poor Matt Azarias career, Green has never been charged much less convicted.. .

Jerry Richardson wasn't "charged" with anything either.

It's who I want, but it'll take our third round pick. Don't you think?

Panthers get:

  • Cowboys' 2025 second-round pick (#44)
  • Cowboys' 2025 seventh-round pick (#239)

Cowboys get:

  • Panthers' 2025 second-round pick (#57)
  • Panthers' 2025 fifth-round pick (#163)
  • Panthers' 2026 third-round pick

Using the Carolina Draft Guide's chart for those numbers.

If Ez is there at #44, I'm stiff arming a nun while running the selection up.

I think it could be a 4th and future pick depending on teams. A few teams at this point  looking to trade back. If not Ez you got Green there too.

If the team is willing to move a future second...

Panthers get:

  • Browns' 2025 second-round pick (#36)
  • Browns' 2025 sixth-round pick (#216)

Shedeur Sanders has custom draft room built ahead of 2025 NFL Draft

imagine building this elaborate draft room in your home.....and being confused about why teams didn't rush to draft you.  Not even getting into the actual football concern of holding the ball imploding plays and how that's going to compound in the NFL when open isn't really a thing most plays.

Sheduer Sanders bringing 2025 Cam Newton energy to the table when teams want 2011 Cam Newton energy at the table.

Yeah, different front office

They have been solid lately--and maybe they see something.  I remember when it looked as though the safest pick in the draft in 2021, Sewell, was going to bust--he struggled early.  Now one of the best if not the best.

Sorry, I'll never understand getting worked up over stuff like this. Athletes are like walking motivational posters from the time they're kids. I want players who are invested and treat football like a lifestyle, not a desk job.

Good quote.  I can't imagine how he felt when Pittsburgh, a team with only the hope of Rodgers at 41, drafted a DT.  Shedeur probably has not faced rejection like that.  I like him.  I understand what it is like to be him, to a lesser degree.

Now we need to see if he gets the Jimmy Clausen "double down punch in the gut".  Minnesota and KC (in 2010) needed a QB.  They passed on him in round 1 and then again round 2.

    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
    • I don't really follow the team anymore due to a variety of reasons and consequently have largely stopped posting but I agree that this is a lovely website and community. This forum probably kept me around for years longer than I would've stuck otherwise because of how difficult it was to stop checking multiple times a day. Especially appreciate how lax the moderation tends to be compared to a lot of places, the crew here does a great job. Out of curiousity I decided to try making a new account (solely for testing purposes) to see what exactly is wrong with the sign up process. The issue seems to be that it never sends you an account verification email, thus making it impossible to complete registration. This is likely something to do with the email server upstream, hope it gets fixed. Also, lol
