I disagree. Tet is a much better prospect and a clear #1 potential. XL simply does not have the ball skills to be a 1.

In the same draft I would put XL below him but we drafted XL.   We need to be working on finding someone to knock AT out of the slot and bring YAC to Carolina.  Which isn’t Tet.

So what are we going to do? Trade Legette? Even if Legette is two, we don’t need another 6’4 go ball specialist. We had the Twin Towers experiment and experience, it didn’t end well.

If anything, you would trade down and use the additional picks to trade back up to take Golden.

Well Morgan makes me look like an idiot. You had two tight ends who can do the exact same poo Tet can do sitting there, a true slot in Egbuka, a burner in Golden who can run the entire route tree.

we take another go ball receiver to pair with the stiff hip Legette, stiff hip Sanders, and an aging Theilen and decent 3 option in what’s his face from Holy Cross.

I don’t get it. I really don’t. This will inevitably fail like every other receiver draft pick not named Steve Smith.

Idiots fell in love with the measurables yet again. I’d have been happier taking Shadeur Sanders than this guy who can’t even get off blocks in the PAC 12/Big 12.

We have gone back in time to the Funchess/Benjamin experiment which was fantastic, when Benjamin got hurt.

yeah, this draft is going to suck.  Morgan and his folks are going to overprioritize defense.  Reach for their dudes early.

I wouldn't be shocked if there first 5 rounds are 4 defensive players and a running back that doesn't actually make sense (hate their top 30 fixation there and who they looked at)  or some poo like that.

Going into this draft, it's almost like we forgot we got the 30th ranked passing game in the NFL.   And our featured player, contemplated retirement, wasn't healthy and is going to be worse.

Lol

I'm not sure what happened there (CRA checks the modern day politician's playbook).  Oh, my account must of been hacked.  Hacked I tell you!

None the less, my overall average of predicting what the Panthers will do.....remains unfazed.  I'm wrong 90% of the time about what this front office will do in a draft.  I nailed XL last year so I am due for a drought of about a decade lol.

I think Coker ends up taking ATs spot.

I got nothing but love for Coker.  We still lack anyone that presents that quick YAC player.  I'll never get building a chunk play football team for Bryce  Young (who needs a dink and dunk team).  And yes, dink an dunks still go down field and chunk play still go short in games.  I just don't see the vision here.

Take note folks, this is how you respond. Humor. Well said and I have done at least worse if not far worse on predictions.

I understand the skepticism, but I do think TMAC  is way above KB or Funchess ever were as prospects.  Neither of them even sniff TMAC in hands (felt like KB body caught nearly everything) agility and fluidity of movement, and route running.

No clue if it’ll work out but I get it.

    • So the last guy who had the job got hired by his former team directly into a role he has no direct experience in?
    • Hard to pass up millions for a couple of days work per week for a coaching gig in the NFL that is 60-80 hours each week during the season and a more relaxed 50 hours a week during the off season. Yeah, I'd love to see him as our DC but hard to see him giving up the cushy job there if he gets it. And he's going to be a great commentator for the network.
    • Really, I think that is where negotiations come in. If you've got a QB getting you to 10 wins but statistically he's not a great performer, then you say look you can take $22 million or you can try it on the market. Because let's face it, out there, any leadership skills that we're seeing aren't going to be on the table, it's just going to be performance and that lands him in the QB2 market, which is much, much less lucrative (although any of us would love that money).  No one is saying that Bryce will be a $50 million QB, barring something short of a miraculous jump. I'm just saying that if we are winning somehow with him at the helm, then it would be fuging stupid to dive back into the rookie pool all over again. Let's say we do hit the 10 win mark, heck, let's call it 11 and a second round in the playoffs. I think we can all say that would be a really uplifting result and one that should be doable if we have good play. What do we do then? Here's what I would offer if I were Morgan and Tepper. $25 million a year for 3 years, each year with up to $10 million in incentives for touchdowns, wins, playoff depth, being under 10 interceptions, completing a full season, passing yardage milestones, taking less than 15 sacks. Look, Bryce isn't a Ferrari, he isn't a Corvette, or a mid-level BMW. He's probably a new Toyota Sienna that will definitely get you somewhere and bring the whole team along with it, no fuss but not a lot of pizazz.  And really, it's about the destination, not about what drove you there.
