Panthers OLB Pat Jones II makes bold claim about team's defense

Recommended Posts

Talk is cheap, but like others already posted you have to have that type of mentality.

It is always good to have guys from a team that was dominate and understand what i takes to make said changes.  I think we at least have depth and DAWGS that DM has been wanting to add at all positions.

Whether that translates to better play on field or wins/loses i am hoping that is the case.

I do think we'll see a pretty substantive jump in the quality of our defense this year, but it comes from multiple things.  That front line is gonna be pretty impressive IMO with healthy brown, Bobby Brown, and Tershawn Warton.  thats gonna open space for our LB's and Moehrig dropping into the box helping stuff the run.  Evero CAN have a very successful defense, he has to have the pieces and I do think he has the pieces he needed.  Lets see what his scheme cooks up with quality pieces and not just UDFAs and random JAGS.

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
    • I'd 10x rather play the NFC North than NFC West.
