The Devils have traded Haula Sucks to Nashville for a 4th round pick and Dman Jeremy Handel.

Although, with Haula now in the west, it all but guarantees a CAR v NSH cup finals. How else would we continue our annual tradition of sending him home to golf?

Sounds like Florida is extending Bennett and Ekblad will walk.

Jack Roslovic: Only 2 other UFA, right-handed centers age 28 or under had more points (39) than him- Sam Bennett (51) and Pius Suter (46).

There were 4 other centers age 33 and older who scored more: Gireaux (37), Marchand (37), Tavares (34), Granlund (33). 

Unless the Canes go old, if they let Jack walk, they won't get a center who scored more. 

Thoughts?

Can he center the 2nd power play unit?  Not hard to do better than KK I suppose.

I believe Granlund could be a good fit here in Carolina.  Speedy, skilled center who played the same up tempo game the Canes played in Dallas.  He won't break the bank either.

It's a weak FA class overall when TDA is listed as a Top 50 FA.....or that list just sucks.

The cap also went up more than everyone thought which hurts us.  Now more teams have space and aren’t pressed to shed salary.
