For those thinking Renfrow isn't making the team...Ha!

Reading into this much? Yeah. Yes, I am. If I had to bet whether Hunter Renfrow would make the team when he was signed in the shadow of the 2025 draft, I would've already inked Hunter Renfrow on the roster. After Bryce Young's presser on what's essentially the first day of camp, I'm saying that Renfrow is a lock (provided he stays healthy of course) based upon Bryce's comments. Sure, it could just be simple QB-speak, but for me it was just a tad too in depth---too specific for that.

"Just seeing his, he has such a great feel for the game, versus man, versus zone. He just has a great, great knack for getting open," Young bragged of Renfrow. "He understands concepts, understands defensive leverage, does a really good job at the top of routes, creating separation, giving indicators, really friendly and easy to throw to as a quarterback. So, you know, super excited to continue to build chemistry with him."

So you may consider it going out on a limb to say Renfrow is a lock, or a hot take to scoff at, but I feel cool and comfortable as a Panther perched out here on the edge.

It sucks not having fans at training camp this year to give us reports on whose running with what unit. It does seem that Renfrow has been getting a lot of run with the 1s over the offseason so I'm confident he's a lock to make the team but what I really wanna know is how does his snap count compare to Jalen Coker. It seems like we haven't heard about him much this offseason.

I see us keeping 6

IMO: Tmac, Theilen and XL are starters and Coker, Horn and Renfrow are backups. My only question about Renfrow was whether he lost a step in the year off dealing with illness. After the very small sampling of video I've seen, the answer appears to be NO.

I think Moore carries a lot more weight than he should with the coaching staff...and I'd be surprised if he's left off the team.  Mike Kaye has alluded to that and I think it would surprise people if Moore is cut.

Horn is going to have to no doubt win the return man job, or I think he has an "injury" that leaves him off the 53 at the start of the season.

If Bryce can cook with ancient thielen there are worse things than having Renfrow as a #6

Moore really offers nothing special

if and it's a huge if....Renfrow can get close to what he was....he won't be our #6.  Because Renfrow can get open for much higher percentage pass options for BY than basically anyone else on the roster.

    • In 2025 Sam Darnold had over 1k more passing yards than Bryce Young on 1 less pass attempt. Repeat that to yourself several times and let it sink in. I absolutely love it when people come on here and invoke Sam Darnold like some gotcha. Darnold is the physical prototype for what anyone needs in a franchise QB. All the physical tools. Few people thought he would put it all together on the mental side of the position. He used to make some of the worst decisions you would ever see. At times in the past he made up for that with absurd throws and athleticism. But make no mistake whatsoever no matter how you feel about our starting QB. Bryce Young is a completely opposite conundrum. He lacks virtually any and all physical tools and athleticism and his elite processing is really mediocre at best on a good day and horrific on a bad day. These are realities people should have already been addressing instead of quadrupling down in year four.
    • The nice thing about the timing of Bryce's contract at least is that it's going to match up with the 2027 Draft Class. No excuses, he either becomes Rams 2nd half Bryce year long, or we draft his replacement.  Nothing wrong with carrying Bryce on his 5th year expiring and a 1st round rookie waiting in the wings. Let the rookie sit until the trade deadline, deal Bryce to a needy team at the time, profit.
    • Yeah they were bad QBs - but QB's that stayed on their teams for several years.  BY is better than all of those.
