Seems like it’s getting pretty bad everywhere. Doesn’t help that there’s different rules everywhere and places where it’s more dangerous to follow the actual law. I forget the name of the highway around Miami but I’ve driven it a few times and if you don’t go like 90 you’re in actual danger and causing a hazard for others. Or some places at 4-way stop lights U-turn yields to right turns and other places right turns yield to u-turns and now everybody is confused every time and it’s a cluster fug. And then there is zero requirement for anybody to prove any sort of competence on an ongoing basis to drive.

Hence why I am all for the maturation of automated driving. It will remove the most dangerous components on every road, the people.

In case anyone is still wondering why the huddle is dead, the discourse above is why. Yeah the team sucks but I’m sifting through pages to find any info on the actual topic  other than OP lol

It's always been like this. There are tweets and a link to cbssports in the TC camp thread for today that further elaborate on what happened with Jaycee Horn.

Anyways regardless of whether or not the huddle is dying I don't see how this is any different or worse than sifting through Twitter or any other similar format social media site because either way wherever you go there are going to be people bloviating and arguing left and right. That's the internet these days for better or worse.

I personally think it has more to do with the few constantly negative posters and those who really only care about being right about draft/player evaluations. Those were unfortunately empowered so much that it drove away people who wanted to have hope and talk about more than “x player sucks”.

The board has become overrun by a sense that it’s cool to be negative just because the team has been bad for a few years. We can’t even band together in mutual hatred and disrespect for other teams, players, or division rivals because somebody will inevitably try to harsh the vibe by reminding you that the Panthers have been bad so we have no room to talk about anybody.

Reading about our own team on this forum often feels no different than if you were reading about the Panthers on a Saints or Falcons forum. It’s cool to hate your own team, owner, gm, coach, qb, wrs, etc. If you want to do something else, we’ll create a separate thread for you so you don’t interrupt our whining.

Drivers could help. Having parties at home where you can control who's there would help these guys so much more. That and a trustworthy person to run their budget, and not let them do stupid ish with generational wealth.

Not sure what any of this has to do with him getting hit when not moving on the way to practice lol.

Agreed. Whenever we get to the point of everybody on fully automated and don’t need traffic lights, etc. that will be amazing. No more traffic jams. Doubt I’ll be alive to see it and maybe we’ll be flying cars by then anyways, but it’s really cool to think about.

I didn’t know he was parked when I created the thread, but it doesn’t change my opinion that if you’re body is your livelihood and you have that much money, then you should hire a driver. He may have been practicing today and playing against the Browns if he was sitting in the back seat you never know.

Carrying water for David Tepper and the terrible moves he's been a large part of pushing for in the past isn't moving the needle either. Certainly kissing ass hasn't made a difference as we've only gone from bad to worse.

In actuality this board could really use some actual opposing fans and viewpoints from them to show you how insulated some of you have become. Literally some of you are Jake Gyllenhaal from that movie Bubble Boy.

Flying cars were supposed to be here by 2000.  I'm still waiting.

Lol who you talking to? I was very anti forcing Richardson to sell, very anti sell the team to rich Steelers guy who has no connection to the area, and pretty much against every move Tepper has made.

See, if you don’t just constantly whine on this board and try to tell people how right you were whenever a move doesn’t work out (and never mention anytime you were wrong), you’ll just have some ideology foisted upon you. If you dare to say sports and fandom is about hope and enjoyment rather than telling everybody how much better you would run the franchise and playing Madden gm, somebody will say you live in a bubble lol.

Case in point why this board has gone to hell.

I think thou doth protest too much. I've seen plenty of posts from you where you are anything but anti Tepper.

I can't even take out my Panthers wallet without someone asking me why on earth I'm a Panthers fan 🤣

If you or anyone else want to live sunshine and rainbows shooting from your buttocks 24/7 and be an unpaid mouthpiece for the Tepper's that is absolutely your right to do so. Doesn't mean it's the only way or the right way to be a fan.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
