Offensive line play is boosted by continuity the more they play together the better it gets.

Sure but it's mostly boosted by having good players on it.

That said, I think it's kind of a wash between these two guys.  It makes sense to burn the low durability guy first, rather than to keep him up your sleeve as a last resort.  I'd rather have my backup not be coming off of 3 season ending injuries.  But if Corbett can keep it together the whole year, then that's great.

Might just see the team go into the season with only 9 on the OL (Icky, DLew, Corbett, Hunt, TMo, BC, Zavala, Mays, Nijman) and then target OT early in the draft if it looks like TMo is done in Carolina after this season.

Still would like to see the team draft a center in the upcoming draft... decent looking class heading into the college season. 😮

Well, NFL Trade Rumors could be wrong, I don't know. Maybe they're referring to a different list or something. That aside, he's still middling (but I guess some players have to be).

Different snap count requirements i belive that one was out of 35! Thanks

Ummm okay. I guess? We will see. I think both are good players when healthy.

I didn't post those screenshots. You did.

AND the screen shot i posted had a data size of 64 players who took snaps... hence why I'm trying to understand how you are calling him bad for being 19th and saying there are 32 starters (obviously) the data set is out of 64 players however putting him top 3rd. Not "below average" as you claimed.

Then post the starters and prove that to be incorrect. It's your dataset.

You could argue it's smarter to start Corbett on opening day, because Mays will have to relieve him at some point.  If you start Mays, and then he gets hurt, Corbett could very well come in and leave on a stretcher the same week in relief.

At least if you get Corbett's availability out of the way first, it becomes a known variable.  And Mays is rested and ready to finish the campaign.

this is true and hilarious at the same time

Well then go dig through it and post the rankings for starters, bub.

You can't post the data, then start crying when people use it the way it is posted.

Ummm you didn't unless your really bad at fraction conversation....

The below average comment shows you also dont know how PFF rankings are scaled 60 is an Average Starter.

    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.
    • 13. Carolina is coming. The Panthers are well thought of around the league. Their "process" seems sound. I think their off-season will be very interesting to keep an eye on. They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
    • Because this DL is completely reliant on Brown being available and being a stud. Without him we were the worst D in history. The Wharton signing last year reeked of desperation. He just isn't a great fit for us schematically and I think we panicked a little bit when we missed out on Milton Williams who would have been a great fit.
