bro Dalton in know way shape or form is one of the better back ups in the league.  Thats just insane talk, I mean you can legit argue he is one of the bottom 5 back ups in the league.

All you have to do is look at rosters and this becomes abundantly clear. It's easy to live in a Panthers bubble but the state of #2 and #3 QB's in the league at the moment is quite bad.

People just chimp out because Dalton isn't the prime version of himself. Well no poo. He is literally statistically the best backup QB we have had that has started 1+ games per year since Anderson.

If Dalton is what people are worried about, this season is so far gone that you may as well tune out until 2026.

The Manning family isn't letting him play here.

He'll either go the Andrew Luck route and stay in school another year or pull an Eli.

I think New Orleans has a dream plan to land him by hiring a young coach that with either bang or bust potential and opting to draft a vanilla 2nd round QB.

maybe with Teppers money and willingness to hand that family the keys to the franchise it wouldn't be the worst option for them.

I still anticipate 6 wins and a fan base who's thinking they're better than they really are after 4 wins in the first half of the season with a weak starting schedule.

There are 4 major changes standing in the way of the Panthers being competitive enough to take a wild card spot. Bryce, Evero, Ekwonu (can't pass pro at this level to win) and stop wasting prime draft capital on offensive players in the first round and retread 1st round QB trades when you clearly need defensive talent.

Just got back from golfing and see Bryce was 0/2 and from reading the thread sounds like 2 drops by JT and TMac. But we’re talking about drafting Arch next season? What is happening

KFC brought back their tater wedges and apparently the Chicken Little's are also back new & improved and extra spicy!

He won’t even be in this draft. He will play 2 years at Texas.

Probably but if he has a great season I think he is gone.  Mcshay is close to the mannings and he is saying Arch is being suffocated in Austin as it is, very uncomfortable so he is not 100% buying with grandpa manning is saying.

But as I stated earlier, this qb draft has the potential for everything.  Big time pocket passers, cam like players, brett farve esque gunners.  They are just need to keep taking the steps forward.

    • It will be really interesting to see how both sides handle this. I'm sure the team would love to get him signed to a 4 year deal based on his output so far and some potential factored in, i.e. something like a 4 year $30 million contract.  But I could see his agent telling him the best path is to take the one year offer, put up a big year next year and then really cash in. The team also has to keep in mind T-Mac's 2nd contract, which likely will happen after the 2027 season assuming he keeps improving as expected.  Even if we could get him on a budget 4 year deal for what he could become, the problem then becomes when he wants to re-negotiate in 2 years during the same summer we will extend T-Mac, and you don't want to spend that much on WRs in one offseason, just see the Bengals this last year. Taking everything into consideration, I'm thinking the 1 year deal and then getting him to sign a 4-5 year deal after hopefully say a 800ish yard season next year might be best for our cap situation and separate his and T-Mac's negotiation periods.
    • And yet jax made it no further than we did, and its very possible the Pats don't either. I think it speaks more to the overall down year for the nfl as far as having great/dominant teams, every team this year has fatal flaws that can be exploited
    • Ehhh I agree the nfc is stronger this year but their really werent any truly dominant teams this year everyone is flawed, I think the narrative for the NFL this year will to try ahd force a Josh Allen SB win
