Probably but if he has a great season I think he is gone.  Mcshay is close to the mannings and he is saying Arch is being suffocated in Austin as it is, very uncomfortable so he is not 100% buying with grandpa manning is saying.

But as I stated earlier, this qb draft has the potential for everything.  Big time pocket passers, cam like players, brett farve esque gunners.  They are just need to keep taking the steps forward.

The Mannings have historically been pretty selective about where they want to end up. so I think it is not only about how Arch does at Texass but who is drafting in the first couple of spots in the draft.

He should be helped a lot by a class that seems loaded(pre-season, which means little) with guys that wouldn't have been first round picks in 2025.

Oh the draft could be solid without him. The next year could be Manning vs Lagway.

assuming they keep getting better, I probably would sacrifice a small farm animal for either Sellers or Garret N.   I think if Sellers has a great year and even if manning has a great year the #1 pick would be at an all time debate.  Sellers tools are just jaw dropping, he just needs more reps

It really is interesting how the morale of this board is literally night and day from just 24 hours ago.

I think most of the posters here are simply masochists at this point and actually enjoy misery ergo they are secretly rooting for it.

Drew Allar has some nice tools. Mendoza and Leavitt will get some looks. Scouts are actually high on the Clemson QB too. I kind of want to see how Green does in Arkansas and of course there will be players no one predicted showing out.

Allar is peyton manning 2.0.  Does that work in the modern nfl, I dont know but the kid can sling it

Curious if you are really questioning if Quarterbacks who are solely Quarterbacks still have a place in the NFL...  lol I'd say look at Joe Burrow for that answer

    • Several of those guys you listed are upgrades over Bryce and several more are potential upgrades.  There will be other starting(or former) QB's coming available too(Geno Smith, Kyler Murray, Kirk Cousins, etc). Or there are backups that can clearly be upgrades(Mac Jones, Jacoby Brissett, Davis Mills, etc). Now, how realistic any of these options are is questionable. For any of the acquisition options, price would be a big factor. For any of the older veterans their motivation for even wanting to come to a team like this is pretty questionable. That extends to several other FA candidates, as well. Are we operating in a therotical world where Bryce is still here and presumed to be the starter? That is going to eliminate some options. Are we operating in a theoretical world where it is a "competition" and Bryce is still here? Or is Bryce gone completely? Those are all factors that make various of these scenarios both more and less "realistic." But, if the question is can we upgrade over Bryce? There is no question we can do so through free agency or potentially the draft.
    • The whole “pick up the fifth year but also bring in competition” is the weirdest take. you only pick up the fifth if he’s the guy. You don’t bring in someone to “push” him if you think he’s it. throwing a seventh or whatever at a project isn’t relevant either way.
