Team will never be good as long as Tepper owns the team

The team is and remains a bottom dweller. On the flip side they are so bad that teams will play down to them again so there will be mirage games again this year that will feel more fun in another losing season.

DM is meh at best, DC is soft and sloppy while needing a lot more experience and Evero remains the same overhyped trash he has been since Denver let him walk. At least Tepper has behaved well enough that when this crew earns a mass firing it won't look as bad as the last pooshow he created that gave us this 'improved' bottom dwelling crew.

Well if I can't watch good football then I'm going to keep laughing at the clown show. Just another year under Tepper.

I don’t think Canales is the issue. I give him four years. I also give Dan four years.

Bryce and Evero? Good bye.

I hate these posts.  Is tepper in the room with you right now?  This over simplified single target scapegoat bs is crazy.   We have no idea what is even going on behind the scenes.  Hes definitely made mistakes as most people new to job do.  He clearly has changed his formulas and learned from them so far it appears.  He clearly really wants to win and has thrown a lot of money at trying, and seems to learn from mistakes.  Did he play parts in why we have sucked?  Definitely.   The rest is just over reaction scapegoating.

We are still reaping what we sowed from the Bryce trade.

In that draft I wanted to trade down and do the following:

1. Re-sign Darnold

2. Re-sign Wilks

3. re-sign Foreman

4. Get Dalton Kincaid/O’Cyrus Torrance

5. Draft Charbonnet

6. Draft Mimms

Now clearly this isn’t a detailed plan but it is an outline of what likely would have turned into a successful core of an outline for building the talent of the team.

All of this is in my post history as well. But it’s sad that my decision making, on paper, three years ago, would have been better than what we’ve seen from Tepper’s meddling.

Now I’m onboard something else that will not happen and that is offer to ship a fifth and Jack Plummer to the Browns for Shedeur. Either way, they will be the 3rd/scout team QB with the difference being that Shedeur could develop into an NFL starter on an extremely friendly deal that could result in the ability to build out a core of talent on this team.

We’ve also seen what Canales can do with at minimum, NFL QB traits.

So you would have us be as bad or worse?

Great plan Tepper Jr.

Who kept Evero and spent an offseason building around him? After a historically bad year none the less. Now you expect them to lure a DC to help save their jobs? They should have done that this season since the new guy would have had the ability to splurge on his guys.

I like DC as an OC but he is soft and undisciplined as a HC. Dan has value too but I haven't seen anything to lead me to belive he will ever be a great GM. I think both are over promoted which only ends one way unfortunately.

Dan Morgan has been part of the front office problems for going on a half decade at this point.

2 ways of an owner getting into good graces with a fan base:

1. Going mostly quiet

2. Win

He’s started doing one of these things

ever since the "throw a drink on a fan" incident (and the random drive-by in Dilworth), he definitely HAS been mostly quiet.

I like to think that was when Nicole (or others with similar influence) told him to get his head out of his butt.

As far as I can tell since hiring Dan/Dave, he hasn't done anything publicly more than show up/work mandatory Owner-appearance events.

Don't see the need to personally insult someone because they are highlighting unfortunate realities.

Now yes you could say he may have exaggerated literally the worst ever but the numbers say it was one of the 3 worst rookie seasons in several decades of statistical analysis so maybe stop trying to shoot the messenger and create enemies where there aren't any.

I didn't insult anyone. I said it was a stupid take. There's a difference. Give it another shot next time. Of all the people to talk about creating enemies where there aren't any, that's pretty rich. You've argued with everything I've said since I joined.

Damn.  I knew I felt the way I felt for a reason, and I remember stats showing he was having THE worst stretch of football of any QB that has ever played at one point, but these just further illuminate how bad it was.

IIRC, the story is that Reich wanted Stroud and Tepper wanted Bryce.  If that is true, I certainly hope Bryce was Tepper’s last foray into FO decisions.  He should be ashamed.  It’s also why I feel they’re still doing all of this due diligence and weapon adding where most teams would’ve cut their losses after last year.  I still believe what we already saw that first year and a half is mostly what Bryce is.  But because we are where we are now, I have to hope he can be better…  but we have really painted ourselves into a corner.  The draft capital, DJ, the other QBs we could’ve taken…  poo set us back for damn near 5 years.
