I'm not seeing much change and that makes me feel less enthusiastic than last season.

I hope what we've been seeing is a big deception.

This is pretty much how I feel. I was really hoping to have a decent preseason. I really didn't care if we won or not but I was expecting a little bit more excitement from our offense especially since our entire O-line returned and we added some really nice offensive players.

I hope it was just running specific plays to gage our players on offense. Still we looked terrible in all three preseason games.

Defensively I still see pee wee football. 11 players all jumbled together and getting burned on a simple cut back. Evero better have his Stuff together come game one. There should be no excuses.

I'm excited for game one and I hope we live up to our late season hype from 2024.

1 here. I don't think we are very good. Maybe we can be entertaining though.

Anyway, I would rather be pleasantly surprised with a couple of wins, rather than being angry and annoyed every Sunday because the team is just flat out terrible.

I am at the point where I don't get angry about the Panthers anymore. Mildly annoyed and most amused.

Tepper ain't worth getting angry over.

I love the time between preseason and the start of the regular season where the Panthers are not a losing team. We only get it for a short period each season but it is truly a magical time.

Where's the magic? Did something happen during pre season that I missed?

Honestly sports aren't worth getting angry over in general.  Enjoy it, but life's too short to be overly upset with things you can't control.

Being a Panther fan is like walking through a fire that burns all your emotional attachment lol.

Before preseason, I was at a 6-7.  After watching us perform during preseason, I'm at a 2 (which is what I voted).

I REALLY want to be wrong about this, but I feel this year will be similar to last year.  We'll have a couple highlights from the likes of TMac, Thielen, Coker along with some break out run plays, but we won't consistently move the ball.  It will just be a play here and there that flashes.  Defense will be bad again.

All we'll be talking about in 3 games is mainly Evero and BY, then it will escalate to talking about Canales.  Rinse-repeat 😞

I think I only still get a little heated over NHL. The Panthers and Hornets have worn me down to the point of largely being apathetic.

I've fallen out of love with sports in general. This could be because the panthers have been bad for so long or it could be the leagues have made it hard to really enjoy it without 1000 different services lol

I have simply learned to embrace the entertainment in a poorly run org.  I either want my team to be good enough for postseason play and that makes folks believe they can make some noise/upset anyone......OR comically bad.  I'm talking big picture.     Both are entertaining.  And I just like to talk sports more than anything.

I think the best Charlotte team to follow is Charlotte FC.  I mean, even right now....with injuries, trades, etc.  They SHOULD be down but they are on a 7 game win streak (hard in soccer) and are real close to locking up a legit playoff spot.

I think once Dabo leaves Clemson I will have no real attachment to any sports team.  Talking sports is still a healthier hobby than so many other things out there and passes the the day quick while working and waiting around at my kids billion practices.

Yeah, even if the Panthers and Hornets bolted, I would still watch those sports. I still enjoy the atmosphere, banter, etc.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
